Re: 12/1 A-10 Games
How do you score 5 points in a half?

Re: 12/1 A-10 Games
Dayton 60, Northern Illinois 43 (ESPN Box Score) As expected, the Flyers blew out a nobody, but played very poorly in the second half - both offensively and defensively. The margin should have been 30+ points. Dayton will have to play a lot better on Wednesday at Alabama in order to stay in the game.

Re: 12/1 A-10 Games
Hahaha. Final score: Dayton 60 NIU 43. Dayton (probably) becomes the first team to surrender only five points in the first half yet fail to cover the spread.

Let's face it folks and get a dose of reality, the A-10 isn't very good this year. Let's look at it team-by-team (preseason contenders only) in relation to their expectation: UMass: Not as good as we all thought. Playing terrible basketball, but we have time to pick it up. VCU: Looks pretty good, playing up to expectation. The Wichita loss discouraged me, but Wichita looks better than expected. SLU: Clearly not as good as we all thought, though I expected this myself. SJU: Playing down to expectations. Notre Dame win was slightly impressive, but they showed their true colors today. Temple: Looking pretty good so far, but have played nobody. Charlotte looks like the better team so far when playing nobody. Will need a quality ball-handler to emerge in order to succeed, not sure that will happen. La Salle: Haven't impressed much so far. Loss CCSU looks baaaaaaaaaaaaad. Butler: Very confusing. Crushed at Xavier, looked terrible. Then beat UNC. That win will not look impressive by season's end, as UNC is not as good as everyone thinks they are. Dayton: Home loss to Weber State. Need I say more... Thank god that Xavier and Charlotte are better than we all thought, that's our only saving grace right now as a conference.

Re: 12/1 A-10 Games
Very carefully.
Oliver, Khari Price, and Devon Scott played well. It's really hard to keep your intensity high when you're up 30 very early in the second half against a laughably bad team. The second half was entirely superfluous. I'm just glad it ended.

Re: 12/1 A-10 Games
Charlotte played very poorly at times tonight, still managed to win by 12. We were up late and had some stupid turnovers, should have won this one by 20+.

Re: 12/1 A-10 Games
I think VCU has looked very good so far quite honestly. Wichita State is 7-0 and won the Cancun Challenge. The other 2 losses were to top 15 teams in which we were extremely competitive.
Our offense is still a work in progress and can be pretty tough to watch, but our defense is elite by any standard nationally and that will keep us in most games until our offense starts to click. Or we could just be a mediocre shooting team all year. Either way our defense will allow us to have a very good chance of winning most games we play. We beat a pretty decent Belmont team (5-1 going into this game with a win at Stanford) without our starting point guard Darius Theus. I feel pretty good about the team right now and I think we are poised to have a good first season in the A-10.

Re: 12/1 A-10 Games
Classy. I would expect nothing less from you. Very mature. It's a shame that you tarnish the name of the great Bill Russell, just like someone else on this site that we know tarnishes the name of a legendary blues musician...
Grow up and respectfully argue. I made insightful points with some merit, and I would appreciate an intelligent, critical response if you disagree with my opinions, not this drivel that you posted. Is it because I mentioned Northeastern and you're just jealous that they're a good team, unlike your Bonnies?
