Re: RIP Rick Majerus

More than any other coach, college basketball was Majerus' life. That said he was also a devoted son.

The world seems a little less vibrant with his passing.

Re: RIP Rick Majerus

One of the most underrated terrific coaches of our times. What he did at Ball State and Utah was remarkable. Heart goes out to his players. RIP coach.

Re: RIP Rick Majerus

Sad news. It was sad to see him leave the job unfinished at SLU but you had to know it was serious for him to step down.

Majerus was one of the finest coaches I've ever seen. I'll miss seeing him on the sidelines for SLU. Rest in peace.

R.I.P. Terrible news. Prayers go out to his family. Not much more needed to say.

Re: RIP Rick Majerus

A true basketball jedi and one of the most unique personalities the world will ever know. I'd long been resigned to the fact that his SLU days were over, but the reality that we'll never hear Rick do another interview or go off on another tangent just brings me to tears.

I'll be forever grateful that 2011-12 (and not 2010-11) was his swan song.

In the entire history of SLU basketball, only 2 coaches have guided the Billikens to an at-large NCAA tournament bid. Both men have passed away in 2012.

Re: RIP Rick Majerus

It was pretty clear his end was approaching, but it just sucks.

RIP.

Re: RIP Rick Majerus

This press conference after the Michigan St. game kind of puts it into perspective about what Majerus is all about. Conklin said it best at the 6:40 mark of the tape.
