Re: Opening Ceremonies

I thought Xavier tore their garments and issued public apologies to the fans for students' behavior.

Re: Opening Ceremonies

At Temple, they turn off the lights and do the whole spotlight stuff. When the lights go off, the student section goes crazy and starts banging on the seats. This video is then played on our beautiful new multi-million dollar video board:

Then they introduce the starting lineup for the other team and the student section faces the other way and screams sucks! at each player. Then they do our starting lineup and people go crazy. Go Owls!

Re: Opening Ceremonies

I take it a lot of us realize our teams and ladies are best viewed with the lights off.

I've been to many different arenas and everybody does virtually the same things with small tweaks. The best pregame videos I have seen are at Ohio State. They do game specific hype videos, at least for big games.

The Duke video is good. but the Wisconsin video is best. This came after Bo Ryan said "Deal with it" after students shoved and spat at Jared Sullinger while rushing the floor in Madison. I was at that Wisconsin home game and the crowd went nuts during the video. Youtube doesn't do it justice.

I wish someone would put Dayton's videos up on Youtube, because they are very good. I tried to record them to send to my UD grad uncle in Minnesota, but apparently when I film something with my phone it looks like Michael J Fox was filming.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Re: Opening Ceremonies

That noise the popcorn machine? I just assumed there was a simultaneous flush of all the toilets at the start of the introductions.
