Re: 12/6 A-10 Games

We actually won the rebounding battle, but man, watching the game... it seemed everytime we needed a board, there was no one around.

Free throw shooting was unacceptable. 52%.

If Robinson continues to not show up to games, we could be in for some trouble.

Bad loss, but at least Central Connecticut State's RPI is currently in the top 150. Besides that loss, I'm pretty happy with the start La Salle is off to. La Salle's RPI is solid, now they just need to keep playing well. And the team should become stronger when Ty Garland becomes eligible. Looking forward to seeing him on the court soon.

Also, it looks like Will Cummings is going through the normal growing pains that an inexperienced sophomore point guard would expect to be going through. I still think the point guard position will hold Temple back a bit. As a La Salle fan it's a joy to have Tyreek Duren running the point. Also what's up with Dalton Pepper? I would think Temple was expecting a little more from him, no?

Mirror image of last year's game at Vandy - except that X was the one who blew a double-digit lead this time around.

Just hope Martin is okay after that hard fall in OT.

I thought he looked like he got knocked out on that play. The announcers kept talking about the fall and tried to see if he got hit, but it appeared to me tha an earlier angle showed him taking an elbow to the temple and then going down hard. Sort of like a knock out punch, the body seemed to go limp as it was falling. Was it just me, was I seeing things?

I'd rather take my chances with Redford instead of Davis.

Well CCS's RPI is largely do in part that they beat a team with a RPI of 38 in La Salle..

CCS was a bad loss no doubt.. Just one of those games where a team makes an abnormal amount of 3 pointers and the other team shot abnormally poor.

Another rpi fallacy, sort of. Actually, if you beat a team with a good rpi and then lose to a team with a bad rpi, it has the exact impact as if you had lost to the good team and beat the bad team. Which is exactly why UMass has a half-way decent rpi that belies how they seem to be playing.

True. If your only two games were 1 home & 1 away vs Duke & St Francis PA and you went 1-1. It wouldn't matter which one you beat or which one was at home.

At least not in the RPI...your record against the Top 50 is another matter.

I saw about 5 replays and the only thing i can gather is he took an elbow that you can't really see on the replay. He def did not hit his head on the floor. Hope he's OK. Been a big surprise for X this year.

Point guard is not that important in Dunphy's scheme.
