That high school team has just come back to take the lead.

Rough matchup for Temple, but it looks like Dunphy found another diamond in the rough with DeCosey. Guy has an incredible eye for talent. A coach in my neck of the woods named Fran McCaffery seems to have a similar knack, but Dunphy has been doing this for years now.

Duke 28 free throws, Temple 3. Just can't be in games when that is the case.

Re: 12/8 A-10 Games

Not all that impressed with Temple. We played Duke a whole lot tougher, but Dunphy has some great pieces and it's easy to look at game results and try to make comparisons but that really means nothing.

Temple is a decent, not great team from what I saw. It looks like the A-10 has a whole lot of those.

I wouldn't call any team, including VCU, a great one from what I've seen so far. Some very solid 30-60 type programs, but we don't have any teams that have really separated themselves into top 25 caliber teams at this point in the season.

Re: 12/8 A-10 Games

Should I root for the Flyers or Miami. It's a no brainier - rooting for Miami but have nothing to lose. Just some irate Flyer posters.

Note: We owe the MAC big time and play Miami both Football and Basketball. We play both teams so it's a wash for RPI. Know I should root for the A10 but feel we owe a lot to the MAC and they do have 7 teams going to bowl games including the Orange Bowl.

Did EMU just knock off Prudue.

Charlotte carries the flag for the A10 in the first half of today's action.

Thanks Niners!

Re: 12/8 A-10 Games

Khalif and Scootie had bad games and we still hung in for most of the game. I am not too gloomy about this one, Duke played at a very high level and we actually had some solid contributions from people like Dalton Pepper, Decosey, Anthony Lee etc. I think this will help the team a lot in finding it's identity and should be stronger later.

Re: 12/8 A-10 Games

Temple was never really within single digits the entire game. I wouldn't call that hanging in there.

That said Temple does have some talented players and looks like a good team, just not close to a top-25 one so far.

Duke has been playing at a high level all year. You don't beat the #2, #3, and #4 teams in the country in November without playing at a high level.

Re: 12/8 A-10 Games

Really interested in this Northeastern La Salle game. Northeastern played us tough in Alaska, but I they were missing a key player in Senior Jonathan Lee. Don't know if he's back or not, looks like he didn't play in the UMass game. Looks like they said 6 weeks on October 19 so he may be back for this one, which mean he may be back for this one.

I guess when you are down in double digits for a long time 11-13 points seems like it is in the game. I don't think any Temple fan expected to be top 25 this early, it's going to take time for this team to work at a good level just a lot of new pieces. It is a transition year even though we do have enough talent to want to be a top 25 team. Hopefully we take care of business the next two weeks and can give Syracuse a little bit more of a challenge.
