Re: 12/19 A-10 Games
Benson, Sanford and Oliver were all in first half foul trouble. Oliver deserved it. He was out of position and reaching, which is very unusual for him. Benson got called for some ticky-tacky ones. Neither of them were able to find their rhythm. Benson showed a couple of his nice across the lane hooks, but he never seemed in the game. Dayton played poorly in this game, yet still had a chance to win. It was disheartening, but not Weber State disheartening. I'll be back in the Arena on Saturday for Murray State. Another loss would be painful, but Murray State is good. Hoping for a better result. It is unlikely that we'll play worse than tonight.

Re: 12/19 A-10 Games
Temple hasn't impressed me once this year. We aren't very good. Probably an NIT team this year which would look pretty good at this point. TJ Dileo plays too many minutes and Scootie Randall has regressed significantly since his 10-11 break out year. Khalif Wyatt may be fearless, but his basketball IQ has been very questionable this year. He takes several ill advised shots a game.

Re: 12/19 A-10 Games
Foul trouble is hardly an excuse for tonight. It was a blessing in disguise. Sanford had 5 turnovers in 19 minutes, and he did not spend much time handling the ball. Benson airballed a 15 foot baseline J on an important possession (I think maybe we could have taken a two possession lead) in the middle of the second half and missed 2 FTs with about 4 mins left. Worst of all, both Sanford and Benson were beaten for layups multiple times because of lack of focus/effort.

It's hard to take anything away from that Bona game, but I'll always take a 40-point win. Apologies to Muddy for that Dayton loss. I know the players were distracted by their impending blizzard-riddled voyage to Olean in 2014.

Re: 12/19 A-10 Games
obviously it's just one game but i have a feeling minuteman nation is breathing a bit easier tonight. we won with room to spare without a good night from williams or vinson. our frosh pg gave us 10 really good minutes and ran the deciding run for us in the second half. many of us have been waiting for morgan to break out and he did in a big way. cady lalanne gave us a double double off the bench. interesting that ohio didn't attempt to zone us once, but then again, once morgan got going he probably took the zone off the table.

Dunphs offense seems to depend on jump shooting way too much imo. Chaney was similar but he had big guys who could get easy baskets around the rim. Kevin Butler not withstanding... |

They should have had 2-3 impact recruits that they missed out on because coach Dunphy couldn't seal the deal. We have a lot of depth, but very few impact players. We didn't build a 50 million dollar practice facility to recruit kids like Kyle Green. |

Re: 12/19 A-10 Games
I'll eat some crow for this. I admit, Duquesne has looked a lot better than I expected them to be this year. Ferry is doing a great job so far with the little talent he has. They do not look like a last place team. Let's put everything in perspective though, they haven't beaten anyone, and have lost to bad teams. Once A-10 play starts they will be very over-matched. And my little Chaz will wipe the floor with Colter. Maybe even Trey Davis will too.

Re: 12/19 A-10 Games
Their losses have been to teams with a combined record of 46-11. Not sure how these are bad teams.
Georgetown (9-1) RPI 35 Pitt (10-1) RPI 14 Albany (9-2)RPI 84 North Dakota State (9-3) RPI 67 Robert Morris (8-4)RPI 114 Please point to bad loss.

Re: 12/19 A-10 Games
Charlotte dominated Radford in the first half, coasted in the 2nd half (lacked intensity). Mayfield had a nasty dunk, has already aired on ESPN2:

Re: 12/19 A-10 Games
Mayfield's dunk was just #1 on Sportscenter.
