Agreed. I'm hoping Fordham will utilize the new Barclay's Center in Brooklyn as our home away from home. After a long 22-year absence from the NCAA tournament, Xavier moved its program off campus to the Cincinnati Gardens, where it flourished, making the NCAA tournament 11 times in the 17 years it played there. Since a new arena won't be built at Rose Hill in the foreseeable future (Heck, the University recently spent $85 million to build a 500-bed dorm. Can you imagine what it would cost to build a 7,500-seat facility?), we need to follow the Xavier model.

Sweet Jesus. We haven't spent that much and we got renovations to two dorms and the dining hall and a new rec center, a new arts center, and a new School of Business building.

You're implying that there are Fordham fans on here to bait.

Good point. Unlike others, we are wise enough to not get pulled into infintile exchanges.

I don't think it's fair that you guys keep bashing Muddy, even when he makes an informative post. Muddy is an important contributor to this board and gives us some insightful knowledge and opinions (like this one). No matter how long and bandwidth-wasting his posts may be, at least they provide good discussion. Unlike, say, all the pissy, overreacting responses from all the Xavier fans on here. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that Muddy is what is currently driving this message board. Half of the threads are started by Muddy, and those threads get easily the most responses. Whether you like or not, we need Muddy, because without him this board would be a barren wasteland.

Re: It's Time For Fordham To Go !

This board was no wasteland before, and it would not be after. The smack would still be there, but the people engaging would be doing so as entertainment. It is obvious that this board is actually that guys entire source of attention in this world, and he is unable to keep what this place is in perspective. It sucks to ruin everyone's FUN, because to him this is LIFE.

When he posts it is like a hungry and homeless child walking in front of you as you try to eat ice cream. Kills the joy.

Some people so miserable they have to bring others with them.

Um, you've never been tested.

If someone were taking nonstop shots at your school and the shots were warranted - contained truth - you would probably get upset and retaliate in some way at some point.

If someone were taking nonstop shots at your school and the shots were bogus - weak and delusional - you would probably laugh, but let the a-hole have it as well at some point, even if you had him on ignore.

RamFan - get out of here with your facts. They contradict what Muddy "thinks".

Re: It's Time For Fordham To Go !

If Barclays will help Fordham become a legitimate program, then Pecora needs to push for it. They will have dates to fill even after the Islanders move to Brooklyn in a few years.

Shocking you would be a Muddy fan.

Hate to break it to you, but the board already is a barren wasteland with and because of Muddy.

I fail to see the difference between Muddy and Mudflap.

Difference in definition:

'A mudflap is used to protect the vehicle, passengers, other vehicles, and pedestrians from mud and other flying (flyer) debris thrown into the air....."

ahhh.. what is the off season and conference alignment talk without at least one "fire Fordham" thread? It is nice thought that it is no longer the fire La Salle, Duquesne and st. Bonaventure thread
