Re: Fordham & the A10 - question
All very funny, as it bothers a few thin skinned so called "Fordham Fans" that someone with strong ties to administration is not in their "fantasy camp."
Have fun with your comments, it won't get us a new facility, an A10 point guard (or big man). The reality is (an all A10 fans know it) Fordham will never compete in the conference as it is composed. The Patriot league is where we should be, like minded schools, with high academic ambitions and respectable views on athletics....and,so sad, they have created this IONA straw-man so they can close their eyes and see Digger behind the bench, with Kenny Charles and Dr. George Zambetti on the court, sorry guys it ain't 1971 anymore - time to trade in the bell bottoms.. |

Re: Fordham & the A10 - question
Looks like IQ77 is a real Fordham wanabee, if he really knew our program, it was our fans drowning our sorrows. We win the championship, but the conference had no automatic bid that year. Nice try but ...

Please do the honorable thing and leave the A10, Fordham.

Re: Fordham & the A10 - question
ram ram, your moniker should be gael gael. You are an Iona troll, and have been busted by my IT Director. Give it up and go back to the Beechmont. Iona will never be invited into the A10.

Re: Fordham & the A10 - question
1 winning season in the last 10 years with 5 20 loss seasons? seems right for Fordham

Re: Fordham & the A10 - question
Rhode Island is severely outmanned in every game they will play this year, they are bringing a knife to a gun fight each game. Their lack of offensive firepower is obvious if you watched them play any games this year. What they do is bust their a$$ every game and they are commited to playing defense, which is their only way to stay in games. Their entire front court consists of 2 freshman and a senior who couldnt even get off Baron's bench. If RI is not lights out from the perimeter they have very little chance of competing. The offensive "outburst" vs St Louis was a very isolated exception to what to expect from the Rams this year. Having said that, Rhode Island has been a solid contributor to the overall success of the Atlantic 10 conference, with many NCAA and NIT appearances/wins. With Hurley on board, the Rams will find their way to the top of the conference within a very short period. Fordham on the other hand has been an absolute anchor since they joined the conference in 1995. I dont want to pile on Fordham here, because they have very little chance of competing in the A10 with the lack of commitment from their administration. Its beyond obvious that the Fordham experiment to bring the NYC market to the A10 was a complete failure. Fordham is, has been and will continue to be nothing but a bad loss to all A10 teams. If you look at the history of the A10, most teams like Rhode Island, St Joes, UMass, LaSalle, etc.. have peaks and valleys with their success. Fordham is in an eternal valley and there is zero indication this will be changing anytime soon. I wish Fordham could at least be a decent team from time to time, but the fact they have been a constant bottom feeder has most A10 schools wishing they would leave the A10 and find a oonference with other like-minded schools.

FYI posters:
"The right to anonymous speech is also protected well beyond the printed page (and extends to the internet). Thus in 2002 the Supreme Court struck down a law requiring proselytizers to register their true names with the Mayor's office before going door-to-door. Violations of privacy on the internet (including attempts to compromise poster's identities)are felonies, subject to federal prosecution. Last edited by ram ram; 01-29-2013 at 06:02 AM. |

But, have a nice try winning that court case, if you try. Or you can get off your high school's library computer, and ask your civics teacher. |

Re: Fordham & the A10 - question
Wow, RickFC77. Really? This is what you really believe should be the measure of a program's value to a basketball conference? One game, a close loss on the road to a team that almost without fail finishes in the basement of the conf every single year?
