Re: Game Thread: Rhode Island @ Richmond (Wednesday 1/9/13)
WTF WAS THAT NON CALL IN THE URI/UR!!!
up 3 Richmond fouls on purpose so Xavier Munford throws up the shot after he was fouled and the refs don't blow the whistle!!!!!

Re: Game Thread: Rhode Island @ Richmond (Wednesday 1/9/13)
Absolute chicken sh!t call by the ref to give the Spiders the win in the end. Spiders attempt to foul Munford by grabbing him with two hands on his waist (video replays confirm this was not incidental). Munford feels the grab and smartly throws the ball up towards the rim from 3pt land. Should have been at LEAST a 2-shot double bonus if not 3 shot foul. Garbage. Let the players determine the outcome. Rams likely would have lost, but that's tough to take.

Spiders were very fortunate. mooney took the air out of the offense way too early. I hope he accepts that this is not a team that can thrive solely in a half court game. We need tempo, some pressure and easy baskets. This is probably not the team he thought he had recruited but we need to adapt to take advantage of what they do well.

The no-call was absolutely brutally obvious. Sorry URI fans--tough way to lose the conference opener.
I didn't see the UR/GMU game, but this performance was eerily reminiscent. Our team was soft to begin with but with Williams out we are:

i'm not saying we would have won but it would have kept us in the game, chance to cut it to 1 then foul and the way Richmond was shooting free throws who knows

Re: Game Thread: Rhode Island @ Richmond (Wednesday 1/9/13)
ok my thoughts on URI tonight:
-loved the fight in the team -Xavier Munford is a pure scorer -Mike Aaman had a great game (13 pts 12 rebs 2 blocks) -Jordan Hare continued his struggle -Need someone besides X to step up if we are going to win consistent
