Normally give a decent home court advantage. The exceptions often seem to be SLU, SBU, and Dayton, where the refs seem to give a larger home advantage, even in games when my team isn't playing (i.e. it's not just my own team biasing that view). But I'm sure their fans see it differently.

I would guess VCU gets to play much more physical at home than on the road in A10 play, and could result in slightly more road struggles than for the other teams in the league. That was one of Charlotte's bigger adjustments their first year, that physical play tended to be penalized more than in CUSA. But then I have no idea how the CAA was.

I know the refs are regional moreso than conference affiliated, but I think they also know that in order to get rehired the conference and teams need to be happy with their home game refereeing.

These announcers are atrocious. I mean, the worst I have heard in years. The play by play guy could not be a bigger homer.

29-28 VCU at the under 8 TO. Game being played at a very high level. Fast paced, some nice passing.

These turnovers by UD are just stupid...,not even caused by the press.

UD has like 9-10 turnovers and I can only recall 2-3 caused by the press. Sanford just turned it over cause he fell...

Amazing that Dayton has three more fouls than VCU given the hands-on defense that VCU plays.

Dayton has shot fairly well so far. Just need to a avoid a big run to start the half.

Dayton's had an answer for every VCU push, but they just can't flip the script and get the lead. They need to before long, because eventually VCU will deliver a knockout blow at home if you constantly have to play uphill.

Man, VCU turned the defense from HAVOC up to MOLESTATION. Refs won't call everything, and they know it. Their intensity is impressive.

VCU is damn good. Clear favorite in the league, IMO. Bring lube when you play them. You will need it.
