No, but he has done pretty well against La Salle in the past.
In three games against La Salle: Shot 43% from the field. Scored 47 points. Grabbed 30 rebounds. I feel good about how he will perform tonight. Still, your guards scare the hell out of me. I'm hoping our 3 point defense is legit and not just a product of our bad schedule. Snaer for Florida State destroyed us from behind the line, but without his insane performance, I don't think they shot all that well, but I could be wrong. |

Niners win by 9 (74-65), Galloway finished with 23 on something like 7-29 shooting. Niners had 21 Turnovers (or close to that) while La Salle had something like 24 offensive rebounds (according ot our radio guys). Niners did hold La Salle to 32.5% from the field and 13.8% from the 3pt line. Pierria Henry had 20 to lead the Niners.

Nice win for the Niners, happy to hold off the comeback.
Any idea from La Salle fans why your guys didn't foul in the last minute and a half? Seemed like a really strange decision, particularly with the way the Niners often shoot ft's. I thought for sure Giannini would start calling for fouls after La Salle cutting it to 8 with 1:10 left. |

Charlotte needs to clean up the careless/unforced turnovers if we want to finish in the top 5 of A10. The number of La Salle offensive rebounds is concerning, however some of it is attributed to the number long shots taken by the Explorers.
13-2 (1-0) is nice.

I can deal with bad shooting nights. They happen. But when a coach refuses to do what gives his team the best chance to win, that's inexcusable. La Salle will be lucky to get an NIT bid at this point. |

Gentleman take a breath. While I agree that the first 20 minutes was probably some of the worst basketball I have ever seen you need a little perspective. In most of the rpi projection I have seen we were picked to be 11-5 in conference play including losing to Charlotte by 7. While I credit Charlotte with their defensive effort we had so many putbacks that did not fall and the three point shooting was awful. Ramone needs to play with some of the control he exhibited in the early part of the season. A lot of forced shots and poor shot selection.

I thought this would be a tough game due to the perimeter shooters that La Salle had but Galloway really shot you guys out of it. I haven't seen the Explorers play this year but does he typically pull that often from 5-6 feet behind the arc? Terrible shot selection but I was glad to see him keep shooting them.

Re: Game Thread: Lasalle @ Charlotte (Wednesday 1/9/13)
I think the rest if the a10 saw the best and worst of Charlotte last night.
The first half had Charlotte's defense forcing La Salle into shots they did want to take while Charlotte scored in the paint. The beginning of the 2nd half exposed Charlotte's inability to score over stretches. I'm sure the La Salle fans would concur that Charlotte did not see the best that the Explorers had to offer last night. |

They did try a zone in the 2nd half, and it was pretty poor, suggesting the players weren't very comfortable in it. Even if you don't like a zone, you still practice one for when you need it, particularly when your post is so thin. |
