Game Thread: Lasalle @ Charlotte (Wednesday 1/9/13)

La Salle probably would have won that game yesterday if they sat Galloway's ass on the bench.

He's a terrible teammate and a selfish basketball player. I don't care how much talent the guy might have, he's a bad teammate and I wouldn't want him on my team.

7/29 is just ridiculous.

Any idea from La Salle fans why your guys didn't foul in the last minute and a half? Seemed like a really strange decision, particularly with the way the Niners often shoot ft's. I thought for sure Giannini would start calling for fouls after La Salle cutting it to 8 with 1:10 left.

Probably because Dr. G confuses easily, like when the other team puts five guys on the floor at the same time, or the other team is wearing uniforms of a different color, or when he's wearing a suit.

Could we get a consensus that Dr G is a worse coach than Derek Kellogg? I'd like to think there's someone worse that Kellogg in the eyes of the cognoscenti.

La Salle looked like a Bobby Lutz team. Allow a shooter to stay in because "shooters shoot." Remember some of those Plavich off nights? La Salle's style makes me feel that team will win one over VCU or Butler, and drop a WTF game to one of the bottom teams.

Fun when it works, but the game last night must have been infuriating for their fans.

Hilarious. At least he hasn't tried adding a 6th man on defense like Lutz did.

Congrats on the win 49ers. We played awful and as I predicted our poor shooting was our doom but you deserve credit for the win. You guys did some nice things on the floor.

I can deal with bad shooting nights. They happen. But when a coach refuses to do what gives his team the best chance to win, that's inexcusable. La Salle will be lucky to get an NIT bid at this point.

I think we have the best Division 3 coach in all of Division 1 basketball.

So you think Dr G is a terrible coach, yet expected 13-3 in A10 play, makes sense.

Yup, sometimes players can overcome bad coaching like the Explorers did last season. G needed to fire a couple of the assistants and bring in at least one assistant that understands in-game adjustments because clearly the Doctor is not "in" when it comes to these decisions.

Check the box scores. The consensus is that Giannini beats him almost every time. And UMass supposedly had better players, so the wild card must be coaching.
