Re: 19 days
I'm not sure if you are looking for iron-clad predictions of UD tearing you up at Cintas, but I think most would say this year there is a much better chance of a UD win than any I can remember. Why? Because X normally has not accumulated the home losses that they have this year. I would still expect X to be favored on their home court, but not as heavily as in past years.

Re: 19 days
The betting line on this game will actually be very interesting if Dayton is playing decently. X is not good, but a dog in a game you havent lost in forever? maybe?

Re: 19 days
UD may win this year. As others have said, there were years when UD's team was better than X's but simply couldn't get the job done. Certainly, every year that it has continued puts the Flyers in a more advantageous position for winning if only due to the law of averages. It's bound to happen some year (I think).
And yet, when I think of the competitive juices flowing through the bodies of Travis Taylor, Semaj Christon, Dee Davis, Brad Redford, Justin Martin, Jeff Robinson, Isaiah Philmore, Erik Stenger, James Farr, and Landen Amos, I can't imagine any one of them leaving anything on the floor that night in making sure the streak doesn't end on their watch!

I just want the team I support to be in a stronger conference. I'd prefer it to be a stronger A-10! To me that would mean every member would have at least 2 trips to the NCAA Tourney and 5 winning seasons during each 10-year cycle. It would also be great for every program to seriously challenge for a league title (either regular season or Tourney) at least once during that same period of time. |

Re: 19 days
Nearly all things point to Dayton having a great chance: Better guards, equal if not better posts, deeper bench, and more experience. I would expect the line to be near pick 'em.
Will UD win? You can look somewhere else for a prediction. Isn't it funny, though, that Tea comes back right after Xavier gets a big home win. It's almost as if he's someone we know...nah.

Re: 19 days
In a way, I hope Dayton can finally break the Jimmy Carter curse - I've noticed a palpable pressure in the Cintas Center for this game and I think it makes it harder for these X guys to win there.

Re: 19 days
Shocking that Ref and Xavierhoops are upset that a Dayton fan says there team isn't as talented as in years past. The truth will set you free, losers.

And where exactly did I get upset about anything? Some of the stuff you say is just out of left field.

Re: 19 days
Don't be so sure. Xavier defensively is very good. Offensively challenged but they can still hold Butler in the 50's and win again.

Re: 19 days
No they can't, but that's not the point.
Dayton played a Top 15 team that hasn't lost since before Thanksgiving. Xavier played a team playing their first game after losing a four year point guard. |
