Xavier also recently beat a team that beat a TOP10 team and was toe to toe with another. What's your point? I'll like my chances again playing Butler at home. Xavier was also playing with a totally new and inexperienced team. They tend to peak as the season goes on.

This has nothing to do with any of that.

Xavier isn't beating Butler right now at home, road, or on the moon. Its simply not as good of a team. Who is actually arguing that?

All I was saying is it was probably unfair to judge Dayton that way.

I'm sure there are several other transitive property games you could play as well given how deep we are into the season. Christ, Butler smoked the Vanderbilt team that won at Cintas in Nashville for one

Butler should definitely beat Xavier when they play next.

Temple should have beaten Xavier a few days ago also.

There is no explanation why a team with lower expectations imposed upon them through their own play and by others can rise up and defeat teams that are strongly favored to defeat them.

Temple defeated Syracuse at Syracuse. It shouldn't have happened.
Years ago, Xavier defeated UC when they were ranked #1 in the nation. It shouldn't have happened.

Xavier should almost certainly not defeat Butler when they play each other next. But it could happen!

I just want the team I support to be in a stronger conference. I'd prefer it to be a stronger A-10! To me that would mean every member would have at least 2 trips to the NCAA Tourney and 5 winning seasons during each 10-year cycle. It would also be great for every program to seriously challenge for a league title (either regular season or Tourney) at least once during that same period of time.

You're the one who brought up the hypothetical, inferring that Butler lost to Xavier becauase you were a man down from last year...totally overlooking that we were 5 men down.

I'm not hypothesizing the outcome of a current Butler/Xavier game. All I know is that in reality, not hypothesizing, we've played once. And Xavier won. The next game is the last of the season. We are a long way from there.

BU sounds like he is pretty puffed up. He will soon find out just about anybody can beat anybody in the A-10. Many, many "upsets" every year. Way too early to be talking about "seeds". OMG.

Basketball is all about matchups and X matches up with Butler much better than they do a team like Temple.

Xavier played Butler with Rotnei Clark playing 37 minutes. Dayton played Butler without him. I would prefer playing them without Clark.
