Re: Game Thread: Duquesne @ UMASS (Thursday 1/17/13)
Dukes had no chance.
Z8 didn't call them MEAC quality.

Re: Game Thread: Duquesne @ UMASS (Thursday 1/17/13)
The game has come back to UMass now.
Chaz was his normal self most of this time, one assist away from a double double. Didn't see a lot of Trey this time...which worries me a bit. Yeah it'll be a double digit victory, but how long can we go while only giving 2 guards any significant minutes? |

Re: Game Thread: Duquesne @ UMASS (Thursday 1/17/13)
Well let's face it, they aren't even MEAC quality... Southland is more like it with this team. They would struggle to finish top 4 in the Southland, trust me. We'll take that easy win tonight. Great game, Chaz.
Oh and DukesDan you were right, Colter would wipe the floor with Chaz.

What's the heirarchy in the league? SLU - MEAC DUQ - Southland Only leaves 13 (UMass excepted)

Re: Game Thread: Duquesne @ UMASS (Thursday 1/17/13)
Note: I only called TWO of SLU's players MEAC quality STARTERS. I am calling Duquesne a Southland quality TEAM.

Duly noted.
It's still fun to play with. *also the last quote by Manti Te'o about his girlfriend.

Re: Game Thread: Duquesne @ UMASS (Thursday 1/17/13)
I don't even know why I am responding since everyone on this board knows that Z8 has the basketball IQ of a 2 year old, but nevertheless, I feel the need to explain the process of hiring a new coach. Typically, when a new coach is hired i.e. Jim Ferry or Dan Hurley, they are not expected to be world beaters in the first year. In fact, they are usually given a pass on the second season as well. By the third season the fan base should see signs of progress. For example, Derrek Kellogg won 12 games his first two years of coaching after inheriting the team when Ford bailed. His third year resulted in 15 wins and this is when things started to look bad. He turned the program around last year and won 25 games as I'm sure you know. Hopefully he can maintain some success, although with you as a fan, I must admit to having a hard time rooting for them. Go Dukes!

Re: Game Thread: Duquesne @ UMASS (Thursday 1/17/13)
UMass is severely overrated as a #5 by ESPN. Their 2-1 record is against bottom feeder teams, and the games were rather close. I think UMass will certainly be in Brooklyn, yes, but they will be playing there in road unis as a 9 to 12 seed.
