Game Thread: La Salle @ Xavier (Saturday 1/19/13)

Please us LaSalle fans know how bad we have been, and we simply lost on Saturday no big conspiracy. We have beat X a few times in recent years we shouldn't have to resort to this BS and simply act like we belong. Proud of where this team has finally made some progress over the last few years but times like this piss me off

No disagreement from X fans. We've complained about FT shooting all year (and to some extent last year). X coaches have preached for years that one or our goals in every game is to make more FT's than the opponent attempts. That isn't happening often enough. X fans aren't delusional thoguh - we don't believe that just because a player wears an X uni means he's the next Michael Jordan or Shaquille O'Neal - sometimes you just need to upgrade your talent. X is a work in progress. They have a lot to prove to be 'good.'

When will this board learn to just ignore explorer steve. He is as embarrasing for the rest of us as Dr. G's cry baby hissy fit act.

Besides the sideline antics, G seriosuly is a really nice guy.

Exactly ... the team has made big progress in recent years I mean we have a rpi of 39 or something around there and were being mentioned for an at large bid. We also were a 3 seed in the NIT and lost to a really strong Minnesota team (look at them now). To an X fan this means nothing but to us its progress. For years youve demanded we get better and we have but you still talk to us like we have an rpi of 300. Maybe dont kill us every 2 seconds and more fans will post on here (theres tons of lurkers). Besr case scenario we are a team on the rise, worst case we have proven over the last 5 years that we can hang around the league and every conference needs teams like that. Baring an epic meltdown we will be in post season play of some sort again and returning a great core for next year and to me thats progress.
