That's too bad. His aggression and athleticism make him a very tough guy to match up with. Charlotte needs his scoring but maybe other guys will be more focused without him.

Pretty sure everyone knows what this is. Demario was suspended a year ago after getting pulled over in the AM with weed on him. Honestly though, he should've been smart enough to know when the piss tests are coming and know how to pass them by now.

How badly does this hurt Charlotte? Having barely watched them this year, it seems like they lean pretty heavily on inside play and don't have a lot of guards that contribute much.

UMass is down to 3 guards on the roster but Williams and Riley basically play the whole game now with Morgan hurt and Davis only gets about 5 mins.

They did lean on the inside players. But with better teams able to pack it in, Mayfield has been the only player to be able to consistently score in part by hitting outside shots in the past few weeks.

This is a big blow to an already struggling Charlotte offense. I think this moves Charlotte down a level in the A10 standings by the end of the year, assuming Mayfield doesn't come back. We'll see, you never know what will happen with younger guys getting more minutes.

Mayfield was our leading scorer and probably our best ball handler.
