Re: Game Thread: Xavier @ Dayton (Saturday 2/16/13)
It is wrong but it happens everywhere. A group of UD fans were called names and nothing happened. What happened was no where close to what Duke fans were chanting about a NC St player who lost his grandmother. It happens everywhere, it is not right, but jeez making a lot about nothing.

Kudos to UD for doing that. Otherwise, UD fans who like to get too loud about how classy UD fans are should give that a rest. |

That's all sports reporters do is make mountains out of mole hills. They report over and over about the same crap trying to be the first to report something. So bc I'm not as distinguished and being called an a-hole is ok? You live the life as a celebrity people say things all the time. Deal with it. Now as far as someone tripping a kid, I would have decked the person who tripped him. This is completely blown out of proportion and should be dropped.

Re: Game Thread: Xavier @ Dayton (Saturday 2/16/13)
Perhaps Mr Mack should keep his drama queen wife home where she's safe from the evils of society.
Mrs Mack over reacted. From the reports of people sitting nearby (and i spoke to some) one would think she was just told she had cancer. I"M GONNA DIE! Perhaps she was on her period which made her much more emotional. Dear Mrs Mack , you married the biggest jerk on the planet and now you're surprised that anyone noticed ?????? In case you didnt know your husband was involved in one of the worse shows of poor sportsmanship one could ever imagine. Don't take this persoanlly but your husband and company are not the most popular people in the world here. I know where this is heading. And I can tell you without hesitation that Ive been all over the world and parts of Indiana and Ive never NEVER felt safer in ANY ANYpublic building than I do @ UD Arena. This is not a good UD team. X fans enjoy pointing that out this entire year. Dayton outclassed X from the get go in this game. The surprise for me was just how easy it was to beat them. Dayton puched em in the face for the first four minutes and X laid down. Dayton never trailed. I never felt like the game was in question. Dayton beat X's ass and insulted the coaches wife to the point she had a nervous break down....pretty solid day I'de say.. Last edited by tman; 02-18-2013 at 12:49 PM. |

![]() Yes I would be mad, but it's going to happen. I wouldn't bring them then, if you knew it might be ugly then again don't bring them. It's like bringing my son to a Bengals game in Cleveland, I would expect things to be said so I don't bring him!! |

Oh for crying out loud.
Sure it wasn't nice but for crying out loud how stupid can you be? Your husband has a history not many here will forget. So what do you do---you take a seat near the students. Then you're surprised a couple of knuckleheads say something. Then you act as if they've insulted the queen. X and UD are heated rivals. And in case you didn't get the memo Mrs mack---your husband is perhaps the least like guy in the history of UD Arena. The reaction of Mrs Mack was way over the top. If you are unable to control yourself--stay home. If my husband is the coach for michigan, I dont take a seat neat the OSU student section. And if I do and I am insulted, I respond a little better than run around the place like ive been shot. X got beat and this is the only thing they can hang their hat on. X is the last program in the conference that can preach class. Zip em up! Last edited by tman; 02-18-2013 at 01:25 PM. |

Re: Game Thread: Xavier @ Dayton (Saturday 2/16/13)
You know tman, I appreciate some of your humor, and often straight talk, about your team. But you are seriously screwed up about this one.
I'm not sure where Christi Mack was sitting, but I thought (and would expect) it was very close to the Xavier bench. Maybe not. But that's not at all the issue. If she was just Coach Mack's wife, and your fans hate Mack, and so they send a little taunt or two her way...maybe OK. Sort of weak ass showing on you all's part...picking on a wife...but maybe you're candies or something and don't have the guts to just yell at the coach you dislike so much. Got to pick on his wife. But she's one of your own. Not only that, she's scheduled to go into your Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in a Dayton uniform. Is that how you treat your hall of fame players? She should tell you to take that honor and shove it if that's the respect it garners on your campus, in the arena that she sweat on for your team. Just shove it.

I feel like it's a cardinal rule of taunting that it should be clever and not demeaning. Calling someone a bitch is anything but clever and completely demeaning.
