Re: VCU vs. Xavier
X has the advantage. VCU will be tired from the excessive travel and will be drained from the big loss to SLU on Tuesday. X will make a run this season to make us proud of the team. Mack will have the team pulling together and peaking at the right time. It all starts with VCU.

Re: VCU vs. Xavier
VCU will have some difficulty defending Xavier's big guys down low, but Xavier could have some difficulty defending the three. It wouldn't shock me to see a replay of the X-UR game in this one – where X shoots 50%+ from the field but VCU stays in it by making threes. I'd take X by a few points because they're at home.

Re: VCU vs. Xavier
Supposedly it's a Richmond fan with a hard-on for VCU.
I think Xavier does pull this one out, but what are Stonewall and XMark going to say once the SLU game comes around? |

Rooting for VCU! Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they are down.

Re: VCU vs. Xavier
It should be a very interesting game today. I hope that the Muskies spent their practice time since the URI game with the full-court offensive game going against at least 7 defenders. In the short TV time that I have seen VCU this year, it seems like they have 6-7 guys playing defense all the time but I must be wrong because that would be a violation. And, despite the Rams' speed, effectiveness, and quickness, even A-10 refs should be able to count that high and detect the extra defenders on the floor.

I just want the team I support to be in a stronger conference. I'd prefer it to be a stronger A-10! To me that would mean every member would have at least 2 trips to the NCAA Tourney and 5 winning seasons during each 10-year cycle. It would also be great for every program to seriously challenge for a league title (either regular season or Tourney) at least once during that same period of time. |

Re: VCU vs. Xavier
From what I have seen, the muskies will have to be on their game. The SLU plan is to use 7 defenders on the court at once in practice. That might get my Muskies ready. The VCU will be a great game, but I expect X to win.

Re: VCU vs. Xavier
Great first half for X, most everything went well. Not sure VCU struggles from the 3 so much for rest of game. Their 3s will start falling
