Re: VCU vs. Xavier
Gotta close that one out. It hurt, but this year is a blip on X's timeline. VCU just wanted it too bad.
Oh, and please don't tell other schools how to beat us at home - most haven't figured it out yet - some haven't for 30+ years... |

Re: VCU vs. Xavier
I was there. I bought my tickets last October thinking it would be a great game, and it was.
I like a lot of things about college basketball. The Game is the thing I like the best. VCU is so well coached, so deep, they play so hard. If you ever get an easy game from Xavier, you are a very lucky team. Mack had them ready. With that group of ball handlers, hanging with VCU for an entire game, even with 22 turnovers, is just damn good coaching. I wanted Xavier to win, VCU was the better team, but it was a great college basketball game. This league has arrived. All things change, but I will regret it if Xavier leaves it. Well played, VCU. Well played, Xavier. |
