Re: 2/20 A-10 Games
Are we going to hear from UMass' #1 lunatic? Err.. fan?
I thought UMass pressure was outstanding, but they backed off it too quickly after SBU started to handle it. Bonnies FT shooting - unconscious. Can't argue with the play - fast-paced game, there will be mistakes. Can only gripe about mental mistakes which there were a few. Bonnies defensive rebounding is plain offensive, but we're going to be stuck with that for the remainder, at this point it's not a trend, it's a trait. With apologies to bdance, knobby, '87, ktabz, and all other fine UMass fans, it sure feels good to have "torched" Z8 tonight.

Re: 2/20 A-10 Games
BrownIndians85 - The team just isn't deep enough anymore to keep pressure up all game. The Bonnies defensive rebounding woes are very similar to UMass'. Mosley was just a beast and his shooting combined with perfect free throw shooting by SBU down the stretch made it a well-won game by SBU.

Very exciting game. UMass is a really talented bunch. Mosley is playing at a Marques Green level. Party time.
Edit: Northeastern is now "we" for you know who...

Re: 2/20 A-10 Games
Well I guess that eliminates another team for a possible at large bid in the NCAA...
So the hope is for Butler, VCU, STL and La Salle (or the school that UMASS, Dayton and Xavier fans want to cut) to hold to their current spots which seem to be safely in barring any bad losses... And Temple to get back into the field with a win over a Top 50 A-10 team or two (like La Salle and VCU).. That gets the A-10 to 5 bids and a nice amount of NCAA credits... maybe 10? 12? Heck 2 teams to the Sweet Sixteen get the conference 6 credits alone.. and with possibly 5 bids in that becomes a strong possibility... |
