Re: Game Thread: Dayton @ UMass (Saturday 2/23/13)
I don't know that it has anything to do with Xavier. Dayton has basically been a .500 team in the Atlantic 10 for the last 10 years. It stands to reason they might lose a game after they've won one. Also, UMass was/is pretty good, and this was going to be a tough game for a subpar Dayton team no matter who they played a week before.

Re: Game Thread: Dayton @ UMass (Saturday 2/23/13)
Another game lost for the Flyers. It's just been a miserable year. The one-man-show cannot win the Flyers much, it needs to be a team effort. When the Flyers have played as a team, they've won, or kept it close. When the one-man-show takes off, we lose. It's disappointing, because we could have been halfway decent, definately not top A10 material, but on the good side of the middle teams. Instead, we're on the good side of the lousy teams, and that's now where we want to be, nor did we think we would be. I'm curious how the Richmond and Bonnies home games are going to end up, and how the fans are going to react. I'm anticipating boo'ing if we lose either game because we've just been not good. Can UD Arena help us beat Richmond and the Bonnies to help us get to Brooklyn? I sure hope so, because it's the only way to get one more game added to our schedule....

Many predicted we would be as good as our defense, and that has rung true, IMO.

The interior defense is as bad as Ive ever seen any Dayton team play.
One Umass player defeated our entire front court. The ship has sunk. This season is over. I no longer care who's at fault or how it happened. Archie is paid a huge amount of money to teach and coach. If he's unable to correct the ship next sesaon, hire someone that can. |

Re: Game Thread: Dayton @ UMass (Saturday 2/23/13)
Sorry for the delay Steve, I was actually afraid to even come here and read on Sunday, because I wasn't quite sure what I was babbling about on Saturday. No more drinking and posting for me. For at least the rest of this week anyway.
The bottle says 'Single Estate Tequila Ocho' from Rancho Carrizal. Harvested in 2008. And it's a Plato. Says 40% alcohol, but it kicks my butt, so might be more than that. If I had to guess the ex might've picked it up at Colonial in Acton, but I haven't actually talked to her since Christmas so I'm only guessing. Thor, you have one of my favorite avatars BTW, has been for years. Wife 2 does alot of business travel, problem is, it's to places like Grand Cayman, so I've felt obligated to go to carry her bags. The novelty is starting to wear off though, I imagine she'll have to get by w/o me in another year or two. |

What, not getting wound up about an NIT run? Me neither actually. A win over Butler and that will about wrap up my interest in the 2013 Minutemen. In theory, run the regular season and then a couple more in Brooklyn might get them on the dance card, but that seems highly unlikely to happen.
