Re: Game Thread: Butler @ Massachusetts (Thursday 3/7/13)
LOL, a lot of VCU love during half-time on NBC Sports.
Saint Louis has a lot to say about us being the class of the league and it being all about VCU, but I'm not complaining about free pub.

Really thought UMass would give Butler a hard time but the Bulldogs have handled them.

"The Bulldogs' 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds led to 17 second-chance points."
That certainly tells the story. Nice win for Butler. They played like the team that took down Gonzaga and Indiana. Now we'll see if X pushes them around down low like they did at Cintas in the "non-conference" game. |

Don't know if it was 9300+ crowd, but the shooting was cold and Butler got 90% of the hustle points. A lot of 3-2 zone, grabbing and pushing. Butler plays a lot like VCU. Congrats to the Bull dogs, you played like one.

Re: Game Thread: Butler @ Massachusetts (Thursday 3/7/13)
Butler beat us to everything and I lost count of how many renbounds went righ to a Butler players hands. Lots of nice tip backs to th etop of the key where a Butler p;layer was standing al alone waiting for the ball. That was a real grind it out game. Nice job!
Umass played with very little heart last night....

Re: Game Thread: Butler @ Massachusetts (Thursday 3/7/13)
Best crowd of the season and the Minutemen lay an egg. It's not just the 'L', it was the sloppy, uninspired play. I've seen this show before, I'm glad I stayed home. We got at least 14" where I'm at and it's still coming down. Took me 45 minutes to go one mile, to the next exit on Rt 2, so I even bailed on going into work today. Maybe I'll grab my skis and head over to Wachusett, no need to get on the highway ...
