Mason fans:

Keep on your toes over the next week or so. The change for which you've been clamoring is almost upon you. His successor is said to be pretty much settled, too. That's as far as I can go.

Phil Martelli. You'll be very happy, Mason.

Can I interest you in a quintessential New Yorker looking to retire down south? He has nice suits, will convince a few media people to come to his defense after 20 loss seasons, and will call out fans for not going to games.

nononono.

I hear they prefer balded coaches who blame losses on their only good player for being not God and/or the basket for not allowing the ball to go in.

Any Mason fans know what is going on? I heard that Hewitt is toast shortly but any names appearing on the radar.

Wasn't Hewitt due a bonus at the beginning of the month?

Most on the Fordham board are leaning towards thinking that Pecora will be back. I tend to agree...unfortunately. I believe he would be owed about $1 million if let go after this season. If our season goes beyond today, he is definitely back. If it ends in a drubbing today, I think chances he is gone increase. Short of a drubbing and I think he is most likely back.

It's sad that the margin of a loss is a factor at this point.

Really hope Pecora and Hewitt are gone after this tournament.

Ferry deserves a year or two more. Clearly making strides I think.

Martelli, Kellogg and G are stuck in the twilight zone.

Yes, our idiot former AD wrote an annual $85K "longevity" bonus into the contract that Hewitt collected on March 1.

Let's say it was an issue with many of our fans, giving the guy a bonus when we all knew he was going to be fired a couple weeks later.

But our new AD said he wasn't going to address Hewitt's employment status until the end of the season and he stuck to that.

No "hope" necessary in Hewitt's case. He is toast. Just a matter of time now.
