Re: 2016-2017 Dayton Flyers

The DDN is reporting that Josh Cunningham started practicing with the team again today. Archie said Josh had been going through individual work outs and that Josh was surprised by his level of conditioning.

Who would be surprised at Archie's level of conditioning?

He has to stay conditioned so that he can be in a position to put the team in a position to win.

Re: 2016-2017 Dayton Flyers

This is certainly really good news the Flyers. If he is already ready to practice then I would look for him to actually get at least a little playing time pretty soon. This will be a huge shot in the arm for depth and adding a high level player for the last 1/3 of the season.

Exactly. Thank you Flyer75. The cretins on this board wouldn't know good news if hit them in the ass.

Re: 2016-2017 Dayton Flyers

Archie received a commitment from 6'7" Czech Matej Svoboda. A 2017 recruit who is 20 year old. GA Tech and Vanderbilt were also involved.

Archie said that Josh Cunningham may play this Friday at Rhode Island. Due to his remarkable conditioning. Pick either Archie or Josh. Both are well conditioned apparently.

Re: 2016-2017 Dayton Flyers

Well, add this kid to the list of players we already mentioned. From what I've read, and not from Dayton writers, this kid is a video game shooter. Not over athletic at all but very high basketball IQ and as stated, can really fill it up from 3. He hit on 50% on some tournament in Helsinki with over 40 attempts. And that's from the international line.

He should be able to step right in and play the SG/SF position vacated by Cooke.

It was the U20 European Championship. He is an amateur playing in the top Czech pro league.

Twofold reason. First, these European guys might understand Oleanese. Second, people will tune in to hear the announcers try and pronounce "Kostas Antetokounmpo passes to Matej Svoboda for the three" By the time they get it all out, each team will have had another possession.

Some teams rely on A10 officials, we're going the professional route.
