It is interesting Dayton is a good program so he can be picky but if you are too picky bad season all o a sudden the Big tine P5 schools pass. That is not worst thing in the world he makes good money and has a program that will always have a shot to win the league.
I agree with you. It's hard to get a feeling one way or another with Archie since he doesn't say much publically about anything. In fact I have been told he doesn't even have an agent.

My thoughts are that he stays as long as he believes Dayton is on an upward trajectory which is in line with your comments. I really believe that The Flyer's haven't peaked out yet, but of course, he leaves if the right situation becomes available, and I think that Ohio State is one of those. Dayton has the resources to pay him and his staff at Gregg Marshall's level, so I can't see him leaving for situations like NC State or even Indiana where S16's aren't good enough even though recent history would suggest that a S16 is probably where the program should be.

Re: 2016-2017 Dayton Flyers

These guys do a pretty good job explaining why Archie won't be going to NC State.

Gary Parrish: This should temper wild expectations for NC State: 'I wouldn't touch that job'

http://www.cbssports.com/college-bas...ouch-that-job/

Jon Rothstein: Next NC State coach better be careful what he wishes for

http://www.fanragsports.com/cbb/roth...areful-wishes/

David Glenn: How likely is NC State to hire Archie Miller?

https://soundcloud.com/accsports-com...ie-miller-ncsu

Glenn covers the ACC for The ACC Sports Journal and his level-headed commentary on the unlikely chance that Archie goes to NC State is definitely worth a listen.

What's up with Mrs. Miller tweeting a Wolfpack sign

She also tweeted this the following day. Apparently she has a history of messing with people on twitter. You know if Archie wants to go to NC State fine, but I can't remember a time when another school is blatantly recruiting a coach when a third of the season is left to play.

I like the quote "Archie Miller is the running ..."

I also like the fact that they report a salary figure that is two contract extensions behind present day. I hate these cocksuckers

Ya, most of the NC State fan base thinks Archie is making 650K a year.

And seeing how she is a graduate of NC State and posing with her nephew I just don't see what the big deal is. She's probably made that "symbol" a thousand times since being in Dayton.

Who would want to go to NC St at this point? Gottfried had a ton of success there and this year they take a step down and then move on? They need to get over themselves. I cant see why Archie or any established coach would go there. I get that hes an alum but that doesnt mean he wants to coach under these circumstances. F off NC St

Well, they are the third, sometimes fourth best North Carolina school in the ACC. Plus Coach K and Roy are going to retire in five years. I read that a lot. Why that will make NC State better in five years is beyond me.

I thought it was a sign that Sean's son was going to walk on at NC State and Sean was going to be his coach.

Dayton Flyers
I anointed this team as a Final Four squad in the preseason and I am not backing off it. Josh Cunningham has returned from injury, when he finds his rhythm, and he will, this team will begin to assume the look of a team poised for a deep March run. The roster is full of upperclassmen who know what it takes to win in March. Charles Cooke is a playmaker and he is surrounded by tough minded, versatile pieces that make it hard on the opposition.

"How do you honor a fallen teammate? You go out the next season and win the division outright. You cut the nets down in your own house with his number on your chest. Unreal.

Big Steve was there to put those final free throw’s in tonight, believe that."

The championship has extra meaning for the three seniors — Davis, Scoochie Smith and Kendall Pollard — who have been with the team through the many ups and downs of the last four years. Somehow the seniors are 102-33 despite everything that has happened.

“We’ve been through a bunch of adversity from the death of Steve McElvene to Jalen Robinson and Devon Scott being dismissed from the team (in December 2014) and my freshman year starting off rocky,” Davis said. “We’ve been through a whole lot. Even Josh and Kendall going down. We just band together as brothers and tell ourselves we’re going to go out there and play our hearts out for each other. We know it’s our last year. We show it every night.”

'75, I am hoping for a NCAA appearance right now. We can't trust the committee with anything.

I'd say we're locked in now. I think we're playing for seeding. Gotta think last night's win; coupled with being the #1 seed has put Dayton on on the 7 seed line. I think?

But ya, that committee thing.....
