Next you'll be wanting to be a buy game when you visit the Robins Center.

Re: Conference underperforming.

With 2 weeks to go, Otto and Juan are looking to crash our party.

What in the absolute shit has happened?

You can thank us for losing the only 2 games that could have resonated with "the committee". Can't lose UNCW at home. Missing Kaputo probably cost UALR and UNCW. Florida was going to be a crapshoot anyway. We specialize in turning 1-loss OOC's into your run of the mill 10-3/9-4 records.

Meanwhile, Rutgers is pounding the hell out of CrapState U. (and Fordham) and I've already heard.. on ESPN of course.. Rutgers has really turned their program around. Well take a dump on my head. I can't believe this, but I hope Seton Hall beats the tar out of them Friday evening.

BI85, Bona is far from the only underperforming A10 team this year. My Flyers have crapped themselves so much this season they are out of tidy whities, before the in-conference games have even started.

Gotta say it's nice to see Paulsen's Patriots (the patties) leading the charge with 9 wins, against some fairly good competition too.

True. I'm just outlining our contributions to the mess.

GMU has got to be top half if not top 4 material in conference after what they've shown.

Who can be sure what the season will hold at this point? Pittsburgh could be a free-for-all. Not sure URI has shown enough to be a favorite. They're great at home. Dayton needs consistency. VCU will be in the mix. Then I think you've got 8 more that can win it all. And under the right bracket I would not say Duquesne or Fordham have no chance. SLU winning is a tough sell this season.

Unless the regular season champ is clearly in that top 30 RPI range, we could be looking at a date with Otto.

Re: Conference underperforming.

It's tough to gauge at this point due to the disparity in competition, but I'd say GMU, UMass and GW are the only A10 teams exceeding expectations. While no A10 team seems to be completely crapping themselves, there's a lot of them not reaching pre-season expectations.

I think this is wrong. They aren't exceeding any expectations yet because the expectations are almost entirely relative to other A10 teams and we won't know anything about that until conference play starts. GMU (current OOC SOS rank 263), UMass (current OOC SOS rank 193), and GW (current OOC SOS 156) made a schedule that matched their strength. That's not easy to do two and three years ahead. There's a really tough path that non-P5 teams have to navigate to succeed. It's hard for fans of the top teams to swallow but the perceived performance of the league is almost entirely based on their teams' performance. This year it's URI, VCU, and Dayton that have let the league down. GMU, UMass, and GW are only performing their duty not to be RPI anchors on Selection Sunday.

I'd be interested to know also. If I remember KPI did have the Bonas in the field as they should have been.

I don't think RPI is very accurate right now. Once conference play starts and teams like MTSU, UT Arlington, UNCW, and South Carolina start playing games in CUSA, Sun Belt, CAA, and SEC, those will even out. Though, I hope for our sake, teams like MTSU and UNCW are able to minimize the conference losses.

For SOS, I can't remember how accurate that is right now. We still play LA-Monroe and Howard, so that's gotta pull it down.

The next two games will defiinitely lower VCU's RPI and SOS. I think after the next two games the RPI will drop to around 42. All that will be shored up sometime in February. In A10 play VCU should be a Top 50 RPI game for other conference teams though.

Oh I agree, i think we'll be in the 40-50 range as well.

I'm wondering where some of our opponents will fall. GT in the 140s now, that's going to hurt. We'll see on Illinois.
