Conference underperforming.

http://www.rpiforecast.com/confrpi.html

The conference is currently at about a .600 winning percentage OOC and is projected to finish .590 OOC which would put the conference behind the American, WCC, and MWC.

It seems like the any of the close games are getting dropped by teams in the A10.

While you're correct, we are 1/4 of the way through the non-conference schedule.

The non-conference schedule is when you elevate your stature against the field nationally. During the conference slate is when you can only raise your stature by lowering that of a fellow conference member.

That's what happened last year. Teams in the bottom of the A10 beat teams in the top of the conference (La Salle beat Dayton and Bonas, while St Louis beat GW and Davidson, and George Mason beat VCU). But that came at the expense of Bonas and GW who didn't get the consideration a team of their level deserved.

If you're only concerned about getting your team into the dance then you're right a team has plenty of time to make up ground but if you're talking about getting the most bids for the conference, the time is quickly fading.

Wow Pinnum, all that from A10 La Salle stating "It's November..." You may be reading into A10 La Salle's comment a bit.

...Huh, I'm defending A10 La Salle?

Fordham could take over sole possession of the conference lead today.

Ace is drunk somewhere right now.

URI is, I'm pretty sure, 4-1 Fordham, beating NYIT doesn't count...even for Fordham.

Conference underperforming? Not, I am sure, in comparison to AA's nooners.

Every conference goes .500 against itself. WINNING OOC GAMES, Period, is what matters most for the strength of the conference.

The odds of the latter are good irrespective of the former.
