Re: Transfers

Sophomores Danny Dixon, DeAndre Abram, and Kameron Murrell are out at Mason.

No surprise, they were recruited over and didn't see much playing time this season.

Re: Transfers

Spiders are losing soph Jesse Pistokache. Not a huge surprise...played a bit last year but found himself at the end of the bench this year, playing just four minutes.

Good for Rhody. We need some returning sizzle going into next year.

I'm glad that what I heard turned out to be wrong.

Re: Transfers

I imagine no one will transfer out of Dayton at this point. There won't be any of those "Come to Jesus" meetings with Archie in the off season. Grant will keep everyone on board just for bodies in case any of the recruits don't show up. Even Sam Miller might be needed............................................ ...................

I wasn't sure who it would be, but after looking at the Minutemen's roster, I figured the new coach would want to open up two or three this spring. Berger would seem to be an obvious candidate for a third.

Re: Transfers

The total now up to 379. Latest A-10 transfer out is Donte Clark the leading scorer for UMASS this past season.

Well...maybe not apparently. What an interesting time at UMass, with people saying they're coming here and then not, and now people saying they're leaving and then maybe not.

Re: Transfers

Anyone have any thoughts on Rene Castro from Duquesne? I know he's from Boston and was wondering if he would be successful at the Patriot League level?

Castro was highly recruited out of high school, but he proved to not be an impact player in both the Big East and Atlantic 10. I don't know, therefore, if he would be a star at BU. I have a lot of respect for the better teams/players in the Patriot League, so this is based off of seeing certain guys at Bucknell, BU, Lehigh, etc. He'd certainly be a capable rotation guy for a year, though. By no means a bad "get".

Re: Transfers

^ I'm starting to think that Jim Ferry and Derek Kellogg both had a lot of talent but were totally incompetent in their ability to utilize it effectively. Rene Castro might not have been an impact player at Duquesne, but he put up respectable #'s in a limited role and limited minutes, perhaps a change of scenery would do wonders for him.
