The new staff needs to get in high gear immediately in terms of bringing in a couple of new players, especially pgs. Maybe they have existing relationships they can leverage.

So can you, '84. I can think a few funny meanings for that seemingly milquetoast acronym.

It's been a tough Q1 recovering from the flu and pneumonia. It's a fucking bitch getting older.

One can only wish to have your imagination, Bill. We're not worthy.

I hear ya, Jaffie. But, I suppose it's better than the alternative. Let's ask res. He has more experience getting older than we do.

This might be the craziest news yet in the off season for Dayton. I didn't give this kid a 1 in a million chance of showing up at Dayton. I thought the chances were slim even if Archie stayed. Here's to surprises. Now if we can just find a PG.

"Matej Svoboda, a 6-foot-7 forward from the Czech Republic, has signed a national letter of intent with the Dayton Flyers, the school announced Monday.

Svoboda verbally committed to the University of Dayton on Feb. 5. He was supposed to sign in the spring, but the departure of Archie Miller to Indiana left doubts about whether Svoboda would sign."

According to verbal commits his only offer was from Dayton, where did you expect him to go?

Stay in Europe...and make money. I think the only reason he's coming to Dayton as a 21 year old freshman is to see if he has any shot at the NBA in like 2 years. He could've gone pro in Europe yesterday.

Pretty sure Ga Tech also offered him but he's going to run up against numerous clearinghouse issues which most conferences won't even entertain...the A10 will.

Many of the Faithful were raising hell because the DDN beat writer tweeted that no one from the new staff had reached out to Svoboda. Fake news I guess. He'll make an immediate impact on the offensive end of the court. Who knows how may points he'll give up. That's that crap shoot with the Euro players. Plus he needs to make it through The Clearinghouse. Grant is probably a little more cautious than Archie who didn't feel dirty about pushing the envelope so we'll see how this ends up.
