Are you saying that is not a common career path?

Career? isn't Olean a popular retirement destination?

I think URI is the clear #1 at this point but I think the Bonnies are 2, at worst 3.

A new year brings bold predictions I guess.

I wouldnt call it bold. Name 2 teams outside of URI who will be better than SBU.

I will want to see the scheduling first. I do know for instance VCU gets Bona at the Stu this year. There are other variables involved such as scheduling and injuries. I would have Bona in the top 5 right now though.

Serious question because I haven't really been paying attention to other teams' offseasons, but how has Bona significantly improved sinced finishing 5th last year? I know other teams have had players graduate and coaches/incoming classes leave, so Bona could jump them. But what other than that elevates Bona up to 1 or 2?

They will probably have the best back court in the conference, and the pre-season POY in Adams, but there are big questions in the front court. I don't see them as pre-season favorites, but if another good front court player emerges and Ayeni makes serious strides they could be top 4. It looks to me like they will have a potent offense, but defense might be an issue.

See, that's already a downgrade. Last season they had the best backcourt in the solar system.

I see Dayton and Richmond sliding below Bona which is where I get my top 3 BOLD prediction from. The backcourt speaks for itself. The biggest issue Bona had last season was lack of a consistent 3rd scorer and interior player youth. Stockard is a wild card. After 2 years of foot injuries nobody knows how he will be but if healthy, he can be that 3rd guy consistently. They added a juco big who can run the floor and help out down low. Most expect Ayeni to play his natural 4 position and Ikpeze/Gueye (the juco I just mentioned) to man the 5. This is based on the front court improving from Freshmen to Sophomores, something we typically see. Lunardi has them in the field as of now (I know, I know) so that at least says something of what other people think. Most fans view this as an NCAA or bust year.
