1st and 2nd Team All-ACC is tricky to me. I'll let someone else handle it.
To me, there seem to be three candidates for Newcomer of the year:
Luol Deng, Duke
Michael Jones, Maryland
Chris Paul, Wake
I imagine either Duhon or Hodge will be Preseason POY.
Roy Williams or Leonard Hamilton will be COY.

Daniel Ewing, Duke
Raymond Felton, UNC
Tim Pickett, FSU
Chris Duhon, Duke
2nd Team
Sean May, UNC
Shelden Williams, Duke
Eric Williams, Wake
Illian Evtimov, NCSU
BJ Elder, GT
COY - Leonard Hamilton
Newcomer of the Year - Luol Deng, Duke

That's not really a "team," it's just a bunch of players put together. Remember the good ol' days when an All X team consisted of a 1-2-3-4-5? I think I'll put my team together shortly.

Evtimov is coming off an ACL injury, second team is highly unlikely.
Where is Danielus from Wake, he is better than E. Williams. I love Chris, but Duhon won't be first team.

By the time the season starts, it will have been almost an entire year since his surgery. Besides, that was one of my "sleeper" picks.

They don't do all-conf teams like that. You do that and you'll leave deserving guys off the top "teams."

Makes sense then. I agree Evtimov could be a sleeper for sure.

Well I think they at least try to make it . I mean you don't see a team consisting of 5 guards.

The people that chose those things only look at stats. I'm sure if 5 guards/5 centers/5 whatever where the best 5 players in the conferece, they'd select them, but I seriously doubt that would ever happen.
