Because we don't want the entire community finding out about us yet. There's a couple of our friends who we're afraid who say something to others and then my parents and her parents would know and it would just become chaos. Like I've stated on here before in the Arab culture, it's hard to really date. Once you like someone and she likes you, you're pretty much expected to get married. And we're not ready for that nor do we want to be pressured into it.

Not only that, but she's extremely shy and feels that if we do act as a couple in front of our friends who DO know, things would get awkward and we'd be disconnected from the group. I think she's wrong but I can't force her into acting a certain way. As long as she acts like my girlfriend when she's with me, I'm fine with it. I see her more one-on-one than I do when we're with a group so it's all good.

I've had a few 90 hours school weeks, but not many. I just always loved school. Pretty much everything about it was great. Having an abundance of financial responsibilities that basically have all of my money spent before I get paid is an awful feeling. I never had that pressure when I was in college. It was much, much less stressful.

You had this epiphany before College though?

Of course I can look back and laugh at how easy everything was back then, but at the time I had little to no appreciation for the lack of final responsibility. After all, I was still paying rent and bills etc, just at a much lower rate.
