Two and a half days in Xi'an with a few of the other teachers. Bit of a practice round for my four day stay in Beijing in ten days.

Yessir. I'm more or less piggybacking on this trip so I didn't do a whole lot of prep or research on anything (hoping the teacher leading the charge did a good job with that).

I'm running the show for Beijing, so that ought to be a bit better when it comes to me knowing what to expect and having plans laid out and all that.

The strep throat I thought I had was a misdiagnosis because nothing was working. I went to the hospital and they gave me a blood test and It turns out I have mono and that's what caused the swollen lymph nodes. They have me a steroid shot and an hour later I felt incredible. Now I'm back to eating and drinking and I'm taking steroid pills for the next 5 days. I was also told to take Tylenol or Motrin over the next couple of weeks and I should be back to good. The good thing about this is that my body be will be immune to mono after this. So **** you, mono.

Medicine is some crazy shit. I love it.
