Toughest Rivarly
I know JustinYoung made a thread about it, but this just brothers me. Toughest Rivarly
At least the fans, have Kansas/Missouri as the number 2 rivarly compare to coaches and players. I would think the two would have them higher. Maybe the coaches and players they had picked were limited, and that could be the reason why they give no respect to the KU and MU rivarly. But, I do not think Maryland and Duke should be in a caliabler as this. Lately it could have been one of the toughest/best rivarlies, but I do no think it is. I also don't think UK and Duke deserve to be on that list. They have a rivarly in regards to March Madness, but that is it. I think to be a true tough rivarly, it has to be within conference or the same state like Kentucky and Louisville. Also true rivarlies are like KU/MU, UNC/DUKE, MSU/UM, and Xavier/Cincy.
I know though out the season, we will have numerous of arguements on rivarlies, so why not start it now?

I always thought that Michigan MSU should be a very good rivalry. Both schools hate each other, they usually have good football games, and both have had sucess in basketball. The problem is that their success comes at different times. When Izzo was first hired Michigan was always blowing them out and winning by 20+. Now recently MSU has been blowing out michigan. If they ever get their acts together at the same time it could truly be one of the best rivalries in the NCAA. W/ the progress Amaker is having and Izzo's consistency I forsee this happening in about 2-3 years.

come on kansas alum...
KU-Mizzu is weak. Missouri doesnt go to the Final 4 and though they have some decent teams here and there, its not even close to UNC-DUKE. Nothing in sports is like UNC-DUKE. Your bias to the Jayhawks has clouded your mind. UNC-DUKE games are close(for the most part) no matter what the records are. The year Duke finished last in the ACC, but went to OT with Stack, Wallace and the boys, was an all-time classic, and there are COUNTLESS others. KU-MIZZ is a regional rivalary. Even though UNC and Duke are 8 miles apart, the national interest is outstanding. I can think of 10 rivalaries off the top of my head that surpass KU-MIZZU.

You got no clue what you are talking about!
Kansas and Missouri aren't ***** rivalry made up just because to teams are always good each year. It isn't made up by the media. UNC-Duke isn't a rivalry in football nor in Baseball. Mizzou and Kansas isn't only a rivalry in just basketball, but a rivalry in all sports. We hate each other. You have come to see UNC fans and Duke fans be friends. A Tiger hates a Jayhawk and vice-versa. KU and Mizzou have always been a rivalry. No teams in College basketball hate each other more. And Mizzou always brings their A++++ game when KU and Mizzou plays, and vice-versa.
It is pure hatred!!
Plain and Simple!

Do Kansas and Mizzu even play every year???HA!
Kansas and Mizzu football? That sounds like an oxy-moron. Kansas sucks in every sport other than basketball. You guys like to play up the hatred, but the rest of the country couldnt give 2 @#$%'s about that game. UNC hates Clemson, but does that make it a rivalry? Clemson is 0-49 @ Chapel Hill. This year your game will be decent for once, but a rivalary goes back to years of close games with talented players that people enjoy watching. How many titles do Kansas and Mizzu have combined? Give me a break, your game is lost in the shuffle somewhere in the middle of nowhere USA. The rest of the country has an interest in UNC-DUKE. Youre hatred sounds more like a personal problem than a rivalary.

I agree with Big C. It most polls, KU/Missouri is the second best rivarly behind DUke/UNC. The only reason only reason why duke/unc seems to be more of the best rivarly is National expousure. that is the only reason. I may be out of the line here, but to me DUke/UNC is big is because of that. Other than that, I see it just like KU/Missouri rivarly. The Rivarly goes back to the Cival war. Have you seen myself and Big C argue with motigs and the Truth here? There is much hatred for the two schools. We don't hate them as people, we hate them b/c they love the Tigers. Yes, Louisville and UK is a big one, Yes CIncy/Xavier is a good one. Those rivariles are the best. SOme say Duke/UK is a good rivarly. HELL NO. Good games, but not a rivarly. In essence, do some research on the KU/MU riavrly, and then you will see why they are the best one behind Duke and UNC.
