Giddens in legal trouble.....
I saw this in the paper today....I'll come back and post a link in a sec.....He's in juvy right now
EDIT: Here's the link: http://www.newsok.com/cgi-bin/show_a...=gethighschool
If he gets kicked off the team, that really sucks for Oklahoma HS sports....last year, 2 of the top 3 players in state(both are playing major minutes in D1 this year) were kicked off the team, and now the best player THIS year might get kicked off his team.....

Giddens was arrested yesterday....
for stealing nearly $3,000 worth of electronic appliances. His friend who was working the cash register, let him and 3 other friend get $3,000 worth of appliances and pay only $40.
It has been a bad year so far for the Jawhawks! I really hope we let him keep his scholarship, but right now I would be very surprised if that happened.

He is already on a tight rope of Roy Williams, and has yet to play a minute. I really don't think Roy will take his scholoarship away. I think he will frown upon it, but won't take it away.

If Giddens if found guilty, which it sounds like he will be, I don't see how Roy could let him keep his scholarship. Then again, he did let Le$ter Earl play there, so maybe he will just look the other way. Giddens stole a bunch of stuff, he should not be allowed to play at KU, or anywhere, if he's found guilty. He should be in jail.
And just so you don't try to use this in your defense, Whaley was released from his scholarship by Quin, and Whaley wasn't even found guilty.

Kelvin Sampson and Coach K both let players keep their scholarships on a worse situation, in my opinion....both raped a girl at a tournament in Ohio.....You really think Roy will take his scholarship away?

But were they found guilty? Quin took Whaley's scholarship away for getting accused of rape, which was the right thing to do. If Giddens is found guilty then there's no way he should be allowed to still go to KU. And I assume the players you're talking about are Sheldon Williams and that other guy. For some reason I thought they got in trouble for shoplifting, but I guess I'm wrong.

If I remember right....
Sheldon Williams got in trouble for raping a girl and doing other bad ****!
Not sure about the other Oklahoma player.
Giddens shoplifted and doesn't even compare to Raping a girl. I disgreed at the time with Snyder letting Whaley out of his scholarship. Whaley was not found guilty and deserved to keep his scholarship (innocent until proven guilty). Through this entire thing Roy will back-up Giddens.

Ok, maybe they raped a girl, but Giddens still stole enough to be charged with grand larceny. He shouldn't be able to keep his scholarship if he's found guilty(how many times am I gonna say that?), but if he's found not guilty then I don't care either way. Whaley had had a record of arrests, 19 I believe, so it's not like his last offense was his first one. Plus Quin released him from his scholarship right before the verdict was announced, like a day earlier, and I guess it really looked like he was going to be found guilty.

It was Quinn Snyder's decision to waive Whaley. Personally, Quin Snyder decision to withdraw it was in reality a hard decison. I would let him stay as a Tiger, and the team would be a much better team. Now he signed with Cincy which is a better sitution for him. One, it is a better team, two Huggins has history of trouble makers on his teams.
Look Coack K kept Randolph on Scholoarship. That is his decsion.
Hey look we kept Lester Earl who well if you follow KU, you would know.
