Big 12 North Preview

Here is the first intallment of Big 12 North Update this season. Big 12 South will be done by mduke.

In my first installment of the Big 12 North, I will preview the North.

The Big 12 this season once again, I beleive will be the top conference in the Big 12. You have Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas in the top 5 national teams. THen you will have Missouri, Texas Tech, and Okie State as other very good teams.

I think they will be 3 teams out of the North to make to the Big Dance, Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado. Iowa State has an outside chance, and Nebraksa and K-State, no way. In the South it will be OU, OSU, UT, and Tech.

All Big 12 NORTH will be
PG-Kirk Hinrich of Kansas
SG-Jake Sullivan of Iowa State
SF-Rickey Paulding of Missouri
PF-Nick Collison of Kansas
C-David Harrison of Colorado

Second Team
PG-Aaron Miles of Kansas
SG-Jake Muhleisen of Nebraska
SF-Marcus Jefferson of Iowa State
PF-Wayne Simien of Kansas
C-Authur Johnson of Missouri

My rankings of the Big 12 North
1-Kansas
2-Missouri
3-Colorado
4-Iowa State
5-Nebraska

2nd team should have Pervis Pasco from Kansas St. at PF, not Wayne Simien. Simien has not showed that he deserves to be ahead of Pasco, who is a great player on a not so great team.

I have to agree with Iverson3(D'oh!) about Pasco being ahead of Simien.

"Missouri
PG-Ricky Clemons
SG-Najeeb Echols
SF-Rickey Paulding
PF-Travon Bryant
C-Author Johnson"

First off..I think McKinney will start and if Echols does start, expect Paulding to be pushed over to the SG spot. Echols started a few games last year for Mizzou but it was at the PF. His ball handling skills are not quite refined enough yet to be a gaurd.

"Colorado
PG-Antoine McGee
SG-Mooke Wright
SF-Blair Wilson
PF-Stphane Pelle
C-David Harrison"

Just curious but why do you see McGee starting at the point moving over Wright when CU already has a fine SG in Micheal Morlandis?

"Iowa State
PG-JTim Barnes
SG-Jake Sullivan
SF-Marcus Jefferson
PF-Omar Bynum
C-Chris Alexander"

Expect Jackson Vroman to start over Chris Alexander. So far from the reports Vroman has been the better of the two at practices and is in much better condition as a player.

as a Kansas Jayhawk myself, and alumn will remember me by my last name, Spoon or Spoonman I think that Simen is going to be something special this year, and could be 1st team with his improvement in the offseason.
