Is Syracuse For Real?
They lose to Rutgers, not quite a basketball powerhouse in my book. I guess we'll find out what they are made of when they play Pitt. on saturday. But why I write is I want some input, I haven't seen much more then highlights of the Orangemen this year, and I was wondering, beside Carmello, do they have the talent to win a game in the tournament? Or go deep?
Please comment.

If Anthony and Warrick stay they will be a powerhouse eventually, especially is McNamara continues to develop

Billy Edelin showed he can play to if they need him by posting like 26 on Notre Dame so they got him to if they need more offense

How can you say not for real? If Carmelo stays another year we will be in the top 10 in preseason polls but if he doesnt i still think they will be in the top 20 because this team is a deep team and they can play with the best of them they already prove that by beatting Pitt once and Notre Dame Twice and beatting Mizzou and MSU..So can u please prove to me why they are not real..

If Carmelo stays SU will be ranked #1 in the country in next year's preseason poll. No doubt in my mind.
If Carmelo leaves they are still a top 10 team next year preseason.
A starting lineup of Edelin, Gmac, Pace,Warrick, MCForth is still quite good.
SU has still a decent shot at a #1 seed. Great year to be an SU fan.

Carmelo Anthony in his first year of college ball has already let us to the final four and if he were to stay another year which I don't will happen then Syracuse would be a top ranked team.
And, who knows if Syracuse might make it to the NCAA finals. All they have to do is beat Texas, not saying it is easy at all but anything can happen.
