Some good games today. Hopefully the cuse can take in a W today @ St. Johns. THE game of the DAY the Big East owns it... WVU @ G-Town baby..can't wait for this...its going to be CRAZY. I think G-Town pulls it down today !!

Georgetown didn't win for a few reasons. We looked good in the first half despite the fact that we didnt get to the line all half (neither did WVU).
But we came out flat in the second half which led to a WVU 10-0 to take a two point lead. From there it wasn't pretty. Jeff Green, our best and most important player, missed 4 straight crucial FT's and we were settling for too many three pointers as opposed to looking for the cutter (which is the key to the Princeton offense we run). Also WVU's switch from a zone to man to man in the second half couldnt be shut down. In my opinion we match up very well against WVU. If Thompson takes out Roy Hibbert earlier (or doesn't start him and plays him for about 10-15 min. to mix up the tempo) we win this game. The final score looks a lot less close than it was. FT's at the end made it look like an easy W for WVU, which it wasn't
Besides Pittsnogle (and some good coaching) WVU didn't look all that special. Gansey was definetly off since I have seen him get hot before. But this team doesn't scare me at all despite that fact that we've lost twice this season to them. I think they're a team than can be beaten but you need to be ready for them. They play a much different game of basketball than traditional powers and they are very good in a set offense which is obviously a big part of college basketball. However despite the loss I still don't see WVU repeating what they did last year.
Yea Gtown, talk about coming out flat. I think their heads got too big at the half, and they forgot to lace up for the rest of the game. Oh well what can you do ? I still think Gtown is one of the best in the big east. I really like them....
