I like him a lot and I think he is going to be a great player, but a LOCK for Top 5 is very hard to get and I don't know if a SF is going to be able to get that.

Re: Paul Harris - Syracuse
Paul Harris can play a couple of positions. A do it all player. If he can improve on his shooting, he's a viable SG prospect.

Re: Paul Harris - Syracuse
I do expect him to be the Freshman of the year for the Big East.

Re: Paul Harris - Syracuse
He should be freshman of the year in the Big East. But as far as being a top 5 lock I don't know if he will be a lottery lock by the end of next season. His only weakness I hear of is that his jumpshot isn't very good and for a 6'4" SG or SF you have to be able to shoot decently to play in the NBA. Also he is old for a college freshman kind of like Tyler Hansbrough so he would be 21, or 22 by the 2008 draft. This could scare teams off a little bit, but I don't think it should but things like those always do. He should be a lottery pick in the 2008 draft but he has to play well next year, and be a contender for Big East player of the Year the following year to be considered top 5.

Kid can d up like you wouldn't believe. I'm interested to see how he and Devendorf do at the top of that zone.

Re: Paul Harris - Syracuse
Harris`s` jump shot is his only semi-weakness and is improving all the time, players that show the kind of intensity in their defense, attitude and overall game will always have a place in the nba,i truly believe this kid is future all star and im not one to get caught up with hype players (oj mayo,yi jianlian etc)
Because Harris has had some personal problems his natural ability is overlooked/underappreciated by the scouts and i actually think this is what makes him so intense in his play,he has that iverson, artest intensity....you cant teach that
rightly or wrongly i believe he will be freshman of the year and will go top 5 in 2008,i trust my judgement of talent more than some sportswriter/scout,my eyes tell me he`s got what it takes barring accidents
thx for the replies peoples

Yea, I understand what you mean, but anyone who locks up OJ like Paul did you can tell is a great defender. If his jumpshot improves he is going to be a monster.

Re: Paul Harris - Syracuse
Paul Harris = Ron Artest Jr...Shooting is his only weakness he can do everything esle and play any postion and defend any postion..He might need a year or 2 in college to develop more of a shot if he does he is gonna be a good NBA player..

i don't know where you guys get this "shooting weakness" from. i live in utica, ny. my friend played against harris in a game once, and i will quote him by saying that harris "toyed" with them. he was shooting from pretty far away, i don't remember how far tho. his shooting isn't that bad..
harris for big east freshman of the year, josh wright for big east player of the year

Re: Paul Harris - Syracuse
Yea.. I think Paul Harris could be a lottery pick this year based on his potential as a defender.. there is always 35 minutes on a good team for a great defender.. If you can shut down the kobes, tmacs, durants, lebrons you give your team a much better chance and make them much less multi-faceted..
