Sacrameto State to open against Stanford

http://www.hornetsports.com/sports/m...ELEASE_ID=7951

The Sacramento State men’s basketball team released its 2003-04 schedule today. The schedule includes 13 home games and 14 contests on the road, including games at Stanford, New Mexico, Oregon State and San Francisco.

The Hornets open the season on Nov. 22 at Stanford (ranked 20th in the final USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll last season). The game will mark the second time in the last five years the two teams have met, with Stanford posting a 78-56 victory in Maples Pavilion during the 1999-00 season. Three days later (Tuesday, Nov. 25), the Hornets face Dominican in their home opener at 7:05 p.m. at the Hornets Nest.

This should be an exciting year since Jameel Pugh will be playing for the Hornets

i hope he is healthy and ready to fulfill his potential...i played with one of his close friends and he told me some pretty crazy stories...that coupled with the footage ive seen of him dunking should make for an exciting player in the big sky conference

I watched an exibition game of them where they played a bunch of old ex college players and they got abused.. Thy looked very un impressive. Jameel was conctantly getting harrased by his coach. They played horrible defense and were un bearable to watch in a half court game. I think they shot like 25 % from the field that night. I hope they can get there act together, though I think pugh needs a reality check. Apparently he thinks hes hot shizzle and to tell you the truth i was very un impressed. He is coming off a knee injury so hopefully next time i seehim play he will be much more explosive. I hope they dont get completly manhandled by this team cause it wont be pretty. My best friend red shirts on the team, he would be playing but he himself is recovering from a knee injury and didnt want to try and play through it possibly missing a year of elligability.
