One of these QBs leads BBF's Heisman Watch

1. Tim Tebow | QB | Florida
Can Tebow be the first player since Archie Griffin to win 2 Heisman Trophies? Add another national championship, and he will be considered the greatest college football player ever.

2. Colt McCoy | QB | Texas
Some believe it to be Colt’s turn to win the coveted award. Props...

Dawkins officially to Duke
The Duke backcourt got a much-needed boost this weekend after it was officially announced that Andre Dawkins will be enrolling at Duke a year early.

"We were like, 'Well, they only have two guards now,'" said Dawkins' father, also named Andre. "I ran the question by him and asked him, 'If you could go now, would you want to?' And he thought about it and said yes. So we put in a call to the Duke coaches and they became excited about...

ESPN reporting this 4 separate times in 20 minutes was a bit too much for me. A) I really don’t think this is anyone’s business, and B) outisde the state of Kentucky, no really gives a care that this man lacks character (I think we akready were well aware of that).

Give us your thoughts on the matter. Visit the Rick Pitino thread at Basketballforum.com!

I took my annual trip to the Duke Coaches Clinic this past weekend. They ended up having a practice Friday that was open for those attending the clinic. It was an opportunity for the coaches to see the new practice facility. Unfortunately, I didn't know about this practice until Saturday morning. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy about the whole situation. Then on Saturday they did the usual - 2 practices, each two hours in length.

He wasn't even supposed to be a Blue Devil. Several unlikely events led to Plumlee enrolling at Duke. Now Krzyzewski may have the missing piece of the puzzle.
Quote:
"Miles is a good player, a very good athlete," coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "Good hands. Good feet, is a shot-blocker, runs ... has a good feel for the game."

"And he complements those other three key guys for us [Kyle Singler, Gerald Henderson and Jon Scheyer]. He's a very good fit. He played

ESPN’s Dana O’neil reports on how Duke’s past success may be part of the cause for the Blue Devils’ recent early March exits.

Quote:
“I think your success can become your opponent at times,” he said. “When you get into situations like an ACC Championship or an NCAA tournament game, you’re not just competing against the other team. You’re competing against your past.”

That sound you heard was the noise created by thousands of smashed violins.

Too much success?

Last evening, the Duke Blue Devils received commitments from juniors Josh Hairston and Tyler Thornton. The two are teammates on the DC Assault and are both 4 star prospects according to Scout.com. They join former DC Assault guard, Andre Dawkins, as members of ‘10 Blue Devils class.

Hairston averaged 17.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game last year

I should preface this by saying that I am one of the biggest Michael Phelps fans around. He - along with Team USA’s basketball team - is the reason I’m even watching these games.

I should also say that I was tuned in for every one of those races. I was the guy with my face 4 inches from the television, yelling at Jason Lezak those last 25m of the 4x100. I was the guy pacing back and forth across the living room as Phelps touched the wall on that last turn in quest of #8. I was on...

Maryland's slide down the ladder toward irrelevancy appears to have hit its most critical step. The Terps have made one NCAA tournament appearance in four years and have become the sort of once-in-a-season highlight team (see:...
