Filled with useful information about the Jazz, analysis, and mostly a homebrewed Jazz experience and sensible set of opinions regarding the team. Updated frequently throughout the year.
This season was the first season the Jazz had lights that could turn on and off quickly. We're far behind, yes, but the building was equipped with lights that took something like 20 minutes to heat up to where they needed to be to play ball.
So, without further ado, here's the team introductions from my seat in the ESA.

Jazz Win Opener
Last night's game was pretty fun. To start the season it's pretty rare to see the Jazz off-beat, but they seemed pretty off for a majority of the game. I think we can easily attribute this to Deron's absence. Ronnie Price did an okay job filling in (even though he was ice cold), but he has to play his hardest 100% of the time to even fill what Deron does at half speed.
On the postgame show, Phil Johnson (Jazz assistant coach) was talking about simplifying the offense for the Jazz without Deron in order to still manufacture some points. It seemed pretty obvious and the Jazz had some silly turnovers as a result.
And speaking of turnovers, I have some serious concerns with the Jazz relying on Kirilenko to handle the ball with the second unit. I can say that SOMETIMES he makes good plays, but for every one of those is a play where he drives down the lane and loses the ball. He played well on Wednesday, but the silly turnovers burn a hole in my head sometimes. He really needs to learn when to drive the ball into the paint and understand that he does not have the strength to hang onto the ball if stronger players are taking swipes at it (so, pretty much everybody).
Boozer's defense was a big topic of discussion during the offseason. He seems to have noticably put more effort into getting better and using his fouls wisely instead of fouling just anybody around the basket. He had a good block on Nene, moved his feet well and didn't miss a rotation to my recollection. If he can keep it up for the entire season, and perhaps the rest of his career, the Jazz should really prioritize him during the offseason rather than Korver and Memo right away. Still, the offseason is going to be a mess either way.
The game was fun, and today I'm tired. It's all good though. Jazz win.
Team introductions were pretty sweet. About time they do something fun/exciting as far as that goes.
As for the actual game, I didn't get to see much of it (matter of fact, I only watched the last couple of minutes), but nice job by the Jazz holding the Nuggets off for the win. It was definitely anybody's game considering both Williams for the Jazz and Anthony for the Nuggets were out.
I think AK's problem is that he's not strong enough or doesn't protect the ball enough when he drives the lane. It's rarely knocked away when he's dribbling but rather stripped when he stops dribbling. It's really annoying to watch.
