I definitely recommend the Bond books if you haven't read 'em. Fleming does good work. |

Re: Currently Reading
Aight I'll look into the Bond books - is that a series?
Also has anyone read or heard of the book 'From Gangland to Promised Land' (I tihnk its an informal biography)? I met the author recently and I can pick it up for free, wondering if its worth it (the read, not the $0 cost)..

Re: Currently Reading
If anyone enjoys reading history I'd highly recommend reading Fateful Choices: Ten Decisions That Changed the World, 1940-1941 by Ian Kershaw.
One of the more interesting books about WWII you'll ever find. |

Re: Currently Reading
If you feel a book is worthy of discussing by all means please start a thread about it. That's why we have a forum now. Having a few threads replace what one thread did wouldn't be too much of a step forward.

Re: Currently Reading
Reading Boris Akunin's The Death of Achilles. As a fan of his Sister Pelagia mysteries, I'm a little disappointed. It's mostly the detective (Erast Fandorin), who's also a near indestructible super soldier. It takes a lot of the thrill out of the genre.

Re: Currently Reading
Dracula by Bram Stoker, soon to be replaced by even more dissertation reading.
Recently finished El capitan Alatriste by Arturo Perez-Reverte and The Complete Sherlock Holmes, Vol. 1 and 2 by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
