It completely takes away from it when they have to do some grand "Look! One of our super hero's is gay! Rejoice homosexuals!"

I've read plenty of comics with gay characters over the years. When its done without batting an eyelash, its good. When its "Look, those two guys are gay! Lets throw out a whole page to explain how we're ok with it!"

Thanks for being so cutting edge here DC.

Oh, so you guys will all post about comics in this thread, but don't post in the comic thread for years at a time?

I'll post there after I find time to read the X-Force Dark Angel Saga and every Batman and Detective Comic from the new 52 line that has come out so far, bought subscriptions for all three books just need to sit down and read them.

Why? I could care less if a super hero is gay. My problem is the pomp and circumstance they add to it to try to make it a big deal.

That's my issue too but I feel like it's linked to society. Everyone is so sensitiveness these days, which in turn causes people to try to appease them.

While I don't have any bias for/towards gay people, "good guys" aren't supposed to be gay. And don't kids read these types of comics, I know if my favorite hero Batman was gay when I was growing up there would be a chance I'd be gay or gayer/gayish.
