Burr and Lincoln are great historic novels

Burr and Creation are on my reading list. I will probably slide them up in the queue on account of his passing. Has anyone read any of his non historical fiction? Recommendations?

I heard myra breckinridge was ok if you're into that sort of thing (cultural satire, transgendered picaresque, homoerotic sex scenes, late 60s sexual politics etc)

After delving deep into Cormac McCarthy, Phillip Roth, Chuck Palahniuk and the incomparable Henry Miller I doubt I would blink to hard. Plus it is expected after all I have heard of Vidal. This is the man who helped bring us the [pornographic] film Caligula.
