Blount.....ahhhhh!!!!
Nice game Mark! Honestly, to trade this guy is impossible with his deal!! PP would have to be involved I think due to the BYC people have told me.
L.A. Lakers trades: PG Tierre Brown (4.3 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.1 apg in 13.5 minutes)
SF Caron Butler (14.6 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 35.6 minutes)
C Chris Mihm (10.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.7 apg in 25.5 minutes)
PF Lamar Odom (15.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 3.5 apg in 36.4 minutes)
L.A. Lakers receives: SF Paul Pierce (21.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.3 apg in 36.1 minutes)
C Mark Blount (10.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.9 apg in 29.0 minutes)
SG Jiri Welsch (7.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.6 apg in 20.8 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -5.1 ppg, -9.1 rpg, and -0.3 apg.
Boston trades: SF Paul Pierce (21.9 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.3 apg in 36.1 minutes)
C Mark Blount (10.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.9 apg in 29.0 minutes)
SG Jiri Welsch (7.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.6 apg in 20.8 minutes)
Boston receives: PG Tierre Brown (4.3 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 2.1 apg in 13.5 minutes)
SF Caron Butler (14.6 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.8 apg in 35.6 minutes)
C Chris Mihm (10.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.7 apg in 25.5 minutes)
PF Lamar Odom (15.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 3.5 apg in 36.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +5.1 ppg, +9.1 rpg, and +0.3 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED

Re: Blount.....ahhhhh!!!!
Hey Pat, I actually think that's a pretty decent deal...don't know that the Lakers do it though because I don't know that Paul and Kobe can co-exist although can Kobe and ANY other good player co-exist ?
I think Paul has been playing a lot better but Butler & Odom plus Mihm is a nice deal plus you dump Mark Blount and I think Jiri is a good fit on the Lakers.....hmmmm
Oh yeah I like the Blount for a 2nd rounder too, addition by subtraction

Re: Blount.....ahhhhh!!!!
If you're really desperate to unload Blount you could always try Blount, Davis & Banks to New Jersey for Kristic & New Jersey's first round pick. It works under the cap because the Nets have that trade exception from the Skittles deal. Presuming that the Celtics could hold on to the Atlantic (or that at the least New Jersey misses the playoffs) it could be profitable.

Why in the world would NJ do that deal??? I mean lets be honest here, of course I'd do it as a Celts fan in a HEARTBEAT but why the heck would the Nets do that. They have Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson so Ricky would only be a backup for them like he is here. Blount is garbage and they sure don't need Banks with Kidd & Plainic. Krstic is a future Franchise Center, he's a rookie and he's playing AWESOME, there is no way they trade him for junk and a first round pick they throw in too...which would be next years bc they traded last years so they can't trade this years and next years draft is a deep one....I don't think NJ would do anything but laugh at this deal but I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Petey you always read this board, as a Nets fan what would you say about this deal?

Re: Blount.....ahhhhh!!!!
As a Nets fan, I'd say hell no. Krstic>Blound already and Nets already have Carter and RJ as swingmen.
But it doesn't work anyway. You can't package players with exceptions #1, and the Nets have already used both their exceptions.

Re: Blount.....ahhhhh!!!!
Can we finally expect Blount to go to the bench now with Walker back in green?

He'll probably play 25 minutes.
