So do you have the money on the Celtics to win the Championship? Or do you have them not to?

I think Gary wanted to come back here because

1. He really really likes the core we have here and thinks now we really havea shot to do something and I think it's surprised him how good the young guys have gotten so fast.

2. He likes Boston, way way more than he thought he would.

3. He doesn't want to be a spare part on a championship team playing 5-10 mpg, he knows he has more left in the tank than that and I think if he's gonna win one he doesn't want to just jump on someone else's bandwagon, he wants to EARN it so it really means something...HAVE TO RESPECT THAT

4. He could have easily gone to Pheonix and ridden them...the fact that he chose us instead speaks volumes about what a quality guy Gary Payton is. I have to say my opinion of him is tremendously different now from when he first came to Boston.

Nice line-up. If all the egos can co-exist (and winning will aid that), then you do have a very tough line-up. GP is still a tough player and experience means everything in the playoffs. Can't see how you can't win your conference and get the #3 seed, home court, and certainly advancing to the 2nd round.

no my dad just randomly said if the celts win the championship i get $1000 bucks but if the dont then i dont have to pay anything...pretty good deal ehh?
