Today the new power rankings are up and the celtics are up to 13th now, and have a good comment about antoine's return and the success it's brought over the last 3 games..

last week the celtics were 18th in these rankings and now are behind chicago in 12th and ahead of orlandon in 15th, and to note the were the highest jump for anyteam over the last week, shows how good the are playing now.

another note, phoenix is still the 2nd team on here behind San Antonio, but i'm sure that the win over the suns showed up nicely (they are 2-1 without nash so far, so we are the only team to beat them), i hope they can keep the ball rolling.

good, and do you think we will be ranked better then the Bulls once we get Gary Payton back? I think now we are better then the Bulls, but thats just my opinion, wats yours?

possibly, but I dont think the rankings would change cause of a injury unless its like a serious 2-3 month injurie....

yeah they wouldn't, the suns haven't gone down at all since losing nash, so i doubt the bulls will go down alot because of that, but if payton does come back to the celtics, then yeah they have really good chance of moving up past the bulls and even higher if they keep this winning streak going.

Yes I agree, although I dont think GP will push up the ratings by more then 1 place in the standings, But i do think that we should and will pass the Bulls in ranking....

I don't think we've been up that high since Pierce and Walker were bringing us to the ECF. If we get Payton back and our win steak continues, we could move up ahead of Chicago and maybe even Cleveland.

That will put us at 10 or 11? Lets just hope we can keep us at this ranking or better

yeah if we get a longer win streak going then that will def. help us move up possibly ahead of cleveland and i don't remember seeing the celtics this high either since walker and pierce went to the ECF (as you said agoo), maybe this is the beginning of something better than we think?

It's nice climbing up the "Power rankings," but how much do they matter? Not a whole lot to be exact. Out of all those teams, there's only 1 that's right, and that's the Spurs, all other teams you just don't know what to expect (Heat with injured Shaq, Suns losing to Celtics, etc).

I don't know, I think you guys are making a big deal out of it. It's not like if we move ahead of the Cavs and/or Bulls we'll be a better team/make the playoffs.

The only thing that we should care about is the 3-0 and the streak.

Every time we faced the Bulls so far this season, we beat them, and that was before Antoine coming back..so regardless of what the power rankings say, we are better than the Bulls...Now.

I think we better then Bulls, and speaking of the Bulls i got 4 tickets to the Bulls Celtics game, 9th row too.....
