Re: Rickey D
He has.
Antoine's out..
Just like Jackson and Miller for the Pacers right now.
They know they're gonna have to carry the load.
Just like Ricky and Paul knows that with Toine out.

Re: Rickey D
When Ricky comes off the bench all I think is " Don't worry, bout a thing...Cuz every little thing, is gunna be alright"-Bob Marley...Ricky gives that energy we need sometimes. He always seems to make shots when needed.

Re: Rickey D
Ricky told the media he is more comfortable coming off the bench.
NOT alot of players are.
But Davis is a all-star that comes off the bench.
He says he likes to feel the game out before he comes in.
So he knows what he can and can't do.
Smart strategy on his part.

Where did you hear that?
So far all I've read is that he would love to start, and feels more comfortable starting, but if this is what he has to do to help the team win games (come off the bench) then that's what he will do.

Re: Ricky D
I have also only heard that it would be his preference to start, but that he is willing to do whatever the team asks to help them win.
Was this a recent declaration on his part?

Re: Ricky D
Doc Rivers was on PTI discussing Ricky Davis among other topics, and the starting issue came up. Rivers went on to say that they needed Ricky to come off the bench and become a veteran leader among the young group of individuals that were already there. He said that Ricky didn't perfer to come off the bench, but he did what was best for the team.
It's great to have the general public learn of Ricky's improving reputation.

Must be, I remember someone saying "of course you want to start, if you don't then you have no heart." It may have been Ricky who said that...

Re: Ricky D
I also heard it on PTI ..
Had to misunderstand, Sorry guys.
If I got as much PT as him, I wouldn't worry about starting.
Plus he's a instant spark off the bench.
Any coach in the NBA would love to have that option.
But stats wise.. Looks to me like he should keep coming off the bench.
